Chapter 913 I'll Deal with Him on My Own
"Grandpa, did the Watkins really kill Dad?’ Luke was doubtful about the theory. Even
though the Fausts didn't interact much with the Watkins, the two families had no major
conflict with each other either. Logically, the Watkins wouldn't have committed the
heinous act.
However, he poured over the information that Alec provided him with and ran his
investigation. It was confirmed that the Watkins had been in contact with the two
assassins, who likely died at the Watkins' hands as well. Despite the solid evidence, he still
felt that something was off.
Zeke lifted his gaze but didn't answer. Instead, he asked, "What do you think?"
"All evidence pointed to the Watkins, but I still think it's strange." However, Luke couldn't
quite pinpoint the reason for his doubt.

the Watkins family isn't behind the murder."
"They didn't do it? But the evidence..."
"The evidence merely proved that the Watkins had been in contact with the two assassins.
But who could be sure that they were the masterminds?" Zeke explained.
Luke furrowed his brows, looking confused. "If the Watkins weren't behind the murder, why
did they get into contact with the assassins? They even asked the assassins to frame Alec,
so they were obviously guilty."
"My guess is that the Watkins took the risk and contacted the assassins because they
wanted to take advantage of the situation and frame Alec.’ Zeke, experienced with the
workings of the real world, harbored a guess too. Indeed, he had accurately explained the
plan the Watkins had in mind.
Luke was surprised, followed by confusion. "If the Watkins weren't the mastermind, that
would leave Alec as the main suspect. Had the Watkins not gotten involved, we could have
investigated Alec. But now..."
"Hmph, that's why I think the Watkin Family is useless." Zeke scoffed at how the Watkins
failed to think logically and wondered how that family managed to keep their place as one
of the Ten Elites.
In all honesty, the Watkins were not to be blamed. They had no idea Zeke was planning to
get rid of Alec. In their eyes, they suspected that Yakov was behind Xavier's death. After
all, the two brothers were the main competitors in the race to be the family heir. Everyone
understood that it was impossible for Zeke to hand the Fausts to Alec unless he was out of
his mind. Still, the Watkins, worried that Zeke wouldn't investigate further into Xavier's
death, decided to take the risk and frame Alec. Unfortunately, the move backfired.

reminded of the fact that Alec had killed his father. As a Faust, he never encountered a
grievance as such.
Zeke snickered. ’Let it slip?" He had once considered sparing Alec as long as he behaved,
but now...
Despite his past conflicts with Xavier, he was still a father who could not bear to see his
son dying in Alec’s hands. It was impossible to let it slip.
"Grandpa, do you want me to hire someone to get rid of Alec?" Luke suggested.
Zeke shook his head and advised his grandson, "You stay out of this. I'll deal with him on
my own.’
"Grandpa, this case is not worth getting your hands dirty." Luke was unhappy because he
was confident that he could take down Alec.
However, Zeke gave him a look, and he promptly shut up. He knew that, in his
grandfather's eyes, he was no match for Alec. He wanted to argue with Zeke, but he kept
his mouth shut when he recalled his failed plan from the last time.
