Chapter 616 You Have to Survive
Old Mr. Faust felt conflicted when he heard what she said.
After their divorce, he worried that Alec and Jenny would go their separate ways. After that, he saw how Alec began
to care for Jenny, and now, even Jenny was worrying about him. Old Mr. Faust couldn't help feeling a little glad.
However, they had no idea if Alec was dead or alive. That was cruel news for Jenny to bear.
Jenny was even more anxious when she saw how quiet he was. "What happened to Alec, Grandpa?"
With her pressing questions, Old Mr. Faust finally broke down and told her what had happened.
On the night that Jenny had called Alec, he hadn't picked up because he had no means to.
That night, not long after leaving the Old Mansion, he realized he was being tailgated. His stalker was fierce and
relentless, refusing to lose him. After that, Alec's car was found at the bottom of a cliff. No one knew what had

Old Mr. Faust had not received his call when it happened. Obviously, Alec wouldn't drag his grandfather into danger.
Paul later contacted him, saying that Alec had called him that night. He had rushed over as fast as he could, but it
was already too late. Alec's car was at the bottom of the cliff, and Paul got someone to contact Old Mr. Faust in the
midst of searching.
The search party had gone on for a few days, but Alec was nowhere to be found. Everyone had already given up,
but they hadn't.
Jenny's face darkened once she heard it all. Right now, on top of being worried about Alec, she was also worried
about Old Mr. Faust. He probably still didn't know about Mortimer being in a coma.
With his son in a coma and his grandson nowhere to be found, she worried about Old Mr. Faust's wellbeing.
"Don't worry, Grandpa. He'll be alright," Jenny said, looking at him. She believed that Alec would protect himself.
He smiled and said nothing. In truth, he already knew that the possibility of Alec surviving wasn't great. It was just
that no one was willing to give up.
Jenny knew how much of a struggle it was for him. She continued, "It might even be good news that no one can find
him. Maybe he's hiding somewhere so we won't be in danger." It was a huge possibility considering Alec's
personality.
"I hope so," Old Mr. Faust said.
Jenny walked out of the ward with Vincent. She told him to bring her to where Alec's car was found. She wanted to
search for him herself. No matter what, she had to find him alive.
She stood at the edge of the cliff and looked down at the raging waters; her face turned pale. She couldn't imagine
how dangerous his attackers must have been for him to plunge down like that. Even if he were afraid, Alec would
not have chosen to jump down.

Who was it? Who could it be?
The Glasses?
They were the first people that Jenny could think of. The Glasses had the power and the means to do it.
But Jenny didn't think that was right. The Glasses would only attack Alec for Jolene's sake, and it wouldn't be to this
extent. Chasing him all the way to Parrington? The Glasses had better things to do. Did they care about Jolene that
much?
But who would it be if it weren't the Glasses?
No one in Parrington would have the power and the boldness to do something like it, so it had to be someone from
Bardoff City.
There weren't a lot of suspects, then.
Jenny clenched her fists and looked down at the crashing water. "You have to survive, Alec. I'm definitely going to
hunt them down!"
