Chapter 1002 Don't Be Fooled by Evan

When Vincent rushed to the bar, Paul was desperately trying to stop Alec from drinking.

Pushing open the door to the private room, Vincent was a little stunned to see the scene

before him.

"Mr. Faust, are you okay?" Vincent asked.

Both of them turned to look at him when they heard his voice. "What could be wrong with

me?" Alec replied.

"Miss Walter called me and said you had a disagreement with her. She was worried about

you,’ Vincent said.

Alec sneered at his words and finally stopped trying to grab the wine glass from Paul.

"Worried about me? Does she think I'll die because of her or something?"

Vincent felt awkward as he thought, "Isn't that what you're doing now?"

Paul sensed something was off and asked Vincent, "What's going on?"

Vincent looked bewildered and shook his head. "I don't know either. Miss Walter suddenly

called me."

Paul pondered what was going on and continued asking, "Did something happen?"

He asked Vincent in detail about what had happened in the past two days and found out

that Jenny was kidnapped yesterday and was rescued by Evan. He also learned that Evan

might need to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

After learning about what happened, Paul could guess what had transpired. "Did you argue

with Jenny because of Evan's injury?"

"Why?" Alec asked. Then, he went on, "It's nothing. It's just that Jenny promised to take

care of him for the rest of his life.

Once those words were said, both Paul and Vincent were stunned. They finally knew the

reason for his sudden excessive drinking.

"My goodness...Miss Walter is such a benevolent person," Vincent praised from the bottom

of his heart.

As soon as he said that, Alec gave him a disdainful look. With that, he quickly added, "But

it's too ridiculous! How could she promise to care for him for the rest of his life just

because he saved her?"

"I think Evan was using this incident to put Jenny on the spot. In that situation, Jenny had

no choice but to agree. She must have wanted to refuse in her heart," Paul analyzed.

Alec thought Paul's analysis made sense. "You're right. Evan isn't a good person."

If it were him, he would never ask Jenny to care for him for the rest of his life. He would

only hope she would find her happiness and stay far away from him. How could he ask her

to stay by his side and spend the rest of her life so miserably?

"Paul's right, Mr. Faust. Don't be fooled by Evan. He's deliberately trying to drive a wedge

between you and Miss Walter so that he can come between you both," Vincent said.

Alec nodded in agreement. "You're right." As he said that, he stood up." You guys carry on.

I'm leaving."

"Where are you going, Mr. Faust?" Vincent asked, feeling worried and wanting to follow

him.

Alec turned his head and glanced at him discontentedly as he said, 'Of course, I'm going

back to the hospital. I'm not giving them any chances to keep spending time together." He

wouldn't let Evan get what he wanted.

"Oh, right. Okay, okay." Vincent nodded in agreement and added, "Be careful on your

way."

With that said, Alec left the private room, leaving only Vincent and Paul staring at each

other in silence. They didn't have much to talk about.

"Well, Mr. Wagner, I'll be leaving now," Vincent said with a dry smile.

"Sure. Do keep watch over Alec. Who knows what he might do later," Paul suggested.

Although their analysis just now made a lot of sense, there was no changing what had

already happened. Jenny still had to stay with Evan to take care of him, and Alec probably

wouldn't be able to accept that fact.

"Okay, got it." Vincent nodded and left.

Paul looked at the empty private room and couldn't help but smile bitterly. He was the only

one left in the end. Raising his head and downing the glass of wine he held back from

Alec, Paul got up and left as well. He had no plans to stay there and drink alone in misery.
