He perceived what was happening, yet he chose not to cout just yet.
At a clearing in the bamboo forest right in front of Caroline's hovel, a man dressed in blue sat cross-legged on a mat.
He was playing his seven-stringed musical instrument, gently, romantically, and skillfully.
Beautiful music echoed all over the bamboo forest and the entire hill
and anyone who heard it would've felt stirred.
Caroline stood in front of her hut, frowning at the man.
"Please, Mr. Fang. Get out of here.
You're disturbing my cultivation,"
Caroline said to the young man, her face expressionless.
The man kept playing even as he answered Caroline.
"Must you always pushaway like this, Caroline?
| made this song for you. I've poured out all my feelings for you here.
| really hope you will hearout first," he said.
"Don't you have any shame?
Why are you still here? Caroline already asked you to leave!"
A figure suddenly showed up beside Caroline.
He was Austin.
"Oh my! You're back!"
Caroline beamed at the sight of her man. She leaped at Austin and hugged him tightly.
The young man's face turned sour as he watched Caroline's reunion with Austin. He stopped playing out of utter annoyance.
"Who the hell are you?" The young man directed to Austin.
As he looked daggers at him, he released a formidable aura.
Austin was astounded by the man's vital energy aura
and soon realized that he was at the Divine Bridge Realm.

It was a level higher than the Bitter Sea Realm.
Cultivators at the Bitter Sea Realm no longer posed a threat to Austin because he had the bronze furnace.
However, a Divine Bridge Realm master was different. He was fully aware that he was no match for him.
"Watch your mouth, Mr. Fang. | told you | have a boyfriend, but you didn't believe me,"
Caroline said, curling her lips in vexation.
"I'm in love with him."
"You're at the medium stage of Semi-emperor Realm, right? Are you part of our sect?"
the man in blue asked, glaring as he sized Austin up.
"lI don't need to answer you. | don't have any business with you.
This is where Caroline and | live. Outsiders are unwelchere," Austin said coldly.
He placed his hand around Caroline's waist, while she nestled in his arms like they were husband and wife.
"Huh? | can't believe people like you would beca disciple here.
But well, since you're cultivating here now, you should show srespect. First, bow to me. I'm your senior.
And second, keep your hands off of her," he lectured Austin, imposing his seniority.
Then, he looked at Caroline and said, "You're a smart and beautiful girl. You deserve better than that."
Austin gritted his teeth upon hearing the young man's words.
He felt insulted to have been judged this way, to be perceived as unworthy of someone just because of his status.
"You talk too much. Get lost right now," Austin said haughtily.
He wouldn't let this young man get the better of him.
The young man went ballistic. "You! You have the nerve to talk down to me, huh? You're really asking for trouble," he said.
Vital energy cout of his body and enveloped Austin in a flash.
Austin felt he was walked all over by this huge energy. He was forced to bend slightly yet he tried his best to conceal this.
It was his turn to fight back. He summoned the Spiritual Pot and directed it to the man's head.
Then, he released the bronze furnace. It transformed into a large one and floated over his head. As the lid removed, four types of
fire jumped out of they and cat the young man.
The temperature quickly rose all around them.
"You are so rude. You dare fight me, huh?" the man said, glowering at Austin.
Concentrating effortlessly and coolly, the man gathered his spiritual sense and successfully kept Austin's Spiritual Pot out of his
Soul Sea.
His clothes billowed as the wind blew which made it look like he was the sea making waves.
That seemed like a foreshadowing.
Seconds later, a sparkling blue sea emerged from behind the man, forming a series of waves taller than human beings.
In an instant, the seas of fire retreated.
Austin's jaw dropped and his eyes bugged out.
"Hmmph! Small tricks!" the man quipped, dusting off his hands.
Next, he cfor the bronze furnace. One step forward and he was floating beside the furnace. And with just a few claps, the
bronze furnace shook violently.
Now, Austin failed to hide the impact of the young man's attack. He kept trembling.
Deep inside, he knew that the Spiritual Pot and bronze furnace couldn't hurt the man.
As a gigantic wave rushed towards him, Austin held Caroline in his arms and began to hop.
Twinkling dots appeared underneath his feet
and soon, the two of them were already miles away from the hut.
Dragon Lightness cin handy yet again.
He really loved this gift from Roc King.
Austin first made sure that Caroline was in a safe spot before he took out the Invincible Bow.
After locating the man with his spiritual sense, he pulled the bowstring.
His target merely snorted as he sensed that Austin was about to attack him.
In his mind, he was shaking off the thought that his opponent was much more difficult to deal with than he had imagined.
Semi-emperor Realm cultivators like Austin could easily be tackled. They would freak out as soon as he released his vital energy.
After all, he was a Divine Bridge Realm master.

But Austin was different.
This infuriated him so much more that he decided to chase him and deal with him at close range.
"Stop!"
A commanding voice cut through the chaos.
Both Austin and the man were stunned and stopped in their tracks. They recognized an even greater power in their midst.
The voice belonged to Elder Brendan.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Elder Brendan's voice seemed to have cfrom the sky.
Austin used his spiritual sense to locate Elder Brendan but to no avail. Chills went up to his spine as he felt in awe of Elder
Brendan's dexterity.
"Elder Brendan, please forgive me. | tried to test his battle force on a whim. | didn't mean to hurt him,"
the man in blue replied.
Elder Brendan paused before relaying his response. He was a man of few words.
"lI don't want to see this happen again. Understood?"
"Yes, Elder Brendan,"
the man in blue answered with a bow.
The sky lightened up and they didn't hear from Elder Brendan's voice again.
A while later, the man appealed to Caroline again.
"Caroline, you're a good girl. Please reassess your feelings. | hope you make the right choice. Don't ever forget that I'm just here,"
he said sweetly.
"As for you," the man continued, fixing his eyes on Austin. "You should make a reality check. You're weak. You can't protect Caroline
or even give her a bright future.
If you truly love her, let her go."
With his bodily movement skill activated, he disappeared in a few seconds.
"Sorry, Austin. | got you in trouble," Caroline said, her expression forlorn.
She embraced Austin once more.
