Chapter 260: Visit
"1 horn of the Dragon butterfly, 7 wings of Flying Black Jaguars, 1 paw of an 'Unlucky' rabbit, 1 blowhole of the Miniature Purple Whales..."
Hao Xuan went down the list of materials that had been gathered already, scratching his head in confusion.
"What the hell are these things? How do they know if a rabbit is unlucky?"
"If the rabbit gets caught, it's not very lucky is it?" Jin Wang replied while scratching his nose with a severed rabbits foots.
Hao Xuan threw a pair of chopsticks at him like throwing knives, making him lazily dodge by rolling to the side.
"Stop using my ingredients to relieve yourself. Go take a shower or something..."
"Tch, it's not like its gonna disappear..." Jin Wang threw the rabbit's foot back into the box and rolled his way out of Hao Xuan's room.
Jin Wang had returned a couple of days ago and had been staying with Hao Xuan ever since. His soul had recovered by a large margin, although still not to its previous state.
The ingredients Hao Xuan had ordered also arrived. He closed his eyes and went over the list in his mind.
When Meng had given him the Immortal Devouring Demon Physique he left a copy of all the relevant information in his mind palace. This copy only displayed the information regarding the current realm he was in, nothing above that.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt detailed the exact method of creating the concoction he needed to bring his Physique closer to the top of the First Realm.
He only needed to use this concoction once, and then his body would slowly develop on its own until he was ready to take on the Physique demon that had been living inside of him all this time.
Everything was prepared but Hao Xuan was still a little uncertain. He had never done this before and he couldn't afford to mess this up.
He looked at the half a dozen or so wooden boxes in front of him and sighed.
The process was going to be painful, extremely painful. The concoction would actually change his body or even his appearance in one way or another.
It was supposed to solidify his base and strengthen his body's core.
He looked at the watch and dialed a number. It rang for about 5 seconds before getting picked up.
"What?" Wu Jin's cold voice came from the other side.
Hao Xuan wasn't in the mood to argue with the rude little twerp so he ignored his impolite tone.
"What's the progress on the things I asked for?"
Baracus had been keeping in contact with Wu Jin, giving him instructions.
The first thing he asked for was access to the main network node that covered the Mei kingdom and the surrounding areas. He would have detailed information about each and every place if he could get in there.
The Second was the access to his clan's cultivation methods. This was just out of pure curiosity and held no other meaning.
The third was the access to his academies archives so he could gather data on their cultivation systems. Poriverse had left a lot of knowledge in Hao Xuan's mind but barely any of it was related to the cultivations of humans or beasts.
Poriverse was a scientist himself so all his data was regarding the universe, its study and comprehension along with the attempts to unravel the secrets behind the meaning of his and all other creature's existence.
It was extremely broad in some aspects and covered a great number of things, but none that would be of any use to Hao Xuan right now.
That's why Hao Xuan ordered Baracus to gather as much information as possible. And what better place for that than one of the three largest academies in the entire continent of Tertium.
"I told you before, there is no way I can just "get you in there". It doesn't work like that," Wu Jin replied as a matter-of-factly.
Hao Xuan went quiet for a second.
"Then what do you have in mind?"
"This year's entrance exam is in a month's time. Come here yourself and participate. I can give a recommendation so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting in. Once you're in, I can get you in the 'Great Library' and you can use my credentials to gain access to all the basic information. Of course, a lot of it is still restricted even for me, so you will have to find a way around that yourself."
Hao Xuan raised an eyebrow in surprise upon hearing Wu Jin's suggestion, which he didn't really hate. He had been wanting to visit this place ever since he first heard about it.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe Academy of Sollertia along with the two others were considered to be the very cradles of civilization on the absolutely massive continent of Tertium.
This is were the scholarly and the learned ones first landed and set up their camps. For millions upon millions of years the academy had been home to geniuses of all races. Storing their achievements, their understanding of the cultivation world and its systems. If he could have all that information in the palm of his hand, would he ever need to rely on anyone else?
These academies had become the places every cultivator must visit at least once in their lifetimes. So how could Hao Xuan not want to go as well?
'But wait...what if its a trap...' as the thought crossed his mind his expression turned cold.
"Will there be any danger to me if I do decide to come?"
"No! I couldn't do something like that even if I wanted to. Whatever the hell you did to me, just the thought of betraying you disgusts me," Wu Jin quickly retorted angrily.
'Mhm, maybe I'm just thinking too much...'
"Alright, what are the details? I'll try to come once the things here are taken care of. Send me the details later."
And with that, he hung up.
He stared at the 20+ materials in front of him and shook his head helplessly.
'Well, there's no point delaying it any further, let's get on with it.'
He moved to an empty room and threw down a protective formation. There was a huge wooden tank placed in the middle of the room with all the ingredients gathered around it. The tank held the grey blood of the rock Ether Beast. It was going to be the base for the concoction. The blood could be constituted with any liquid containing large amounts of life essence.
The process was relatively simple.
Hao Xuan had to first prepare all the ingredients a certain way, then add them to the blood one by one. The timing had to be accurate down to the second, which is why he had Baracus take control of the process. Hao Xuan was just going to be his hands.
