“Why are there so many parcels?” Lillian couldn’t help asking.

“It’s all yours. It’s not easy for you to make some money, so why do you buy so many things at once?” Abigail

grumbled. “Don’t you know how to save some money? How much did you spend on these things?” “Mine?” Lillian

was stunned. There were at least 30 parcels.

Besides, she didn’t buy anything online recently!

would send those things to her.

“Did you buy those parcels and send them to my house?” Lillian said.

“Yes. Have you received them?” Callum asked.

“Yes. There are more than 30 parcels,” Lillian said angrily.

Lillian suddenly had a bad feeling. “Wait. How… How many packages have you sent to my house?”

“About a hundred. I think the things are useful for you,” he said.

spend?”

“You are the only person who I’m willing to spend my money on,” Callum said.

Lillian’s breath hitched, and she said, “Hurry up and take these things back. You can take the rest when they arrive

at my house. I don’t need them!”

“If you have all these things, I can take them back. But if you don’t have them, just leave them at your place,” he

said.

“Callum, if I use these things that you give me, won’t my parents know I’m pregnant? Do you think they’re blind?

How can I explain this matter to them, then?” Lillian grumbled in a low voice.

“Just explain it the way you should. Are you going to hide it from them for the rest of your life?” Callum asked.

“Why can’t I hide it from them for the rest of my life? If I…” At that point, she caught herself, bit her lip, and fell

silent.

Callum didn’t say anything either.

For a moment, a suffocating silence lingered in the air.

After a while, Lillian heard Callum’s voice coming from the other end of the line. “Are you planning to abort the

child?”

“I’m just saying it casually,” she said timidly. Inexplicably, she felt scared when Callum asked her that question.
