"I thought they'd spit out the disgusting chocolate, hop up and down and make a fuss. | was ready to have a good laugh, but to my
surprise, they said they liked it! | was disappointed then. After | got back, | handed the chocolate to Ms. Jelena. Since Ms. Jelena has
been on a diet and avoided chocolate like the plague, she passed it to Dad, and then it somehow ended up with Mira. | didn't want
Mira to suffer through that ghastly taste, so | snatched it back and chucked it into the bathroom trash. | even took a whiff of that
chocolate. It reeked of almond, and | absolutely loathe almonds. At dinner that night, the folks at the next table were gabbing
about a murder at the resort and spoor soul had been poisoned. | hadn't a clue who had kicked the bucket. It wasn't until you
guys showed up the next day that | realized it was the couple from the palm grove yesterday. The fake mom warnednot to spill
the beans about her visit to anyone, or she'd be dead meat. | didn't want 'mom' to end up six feet under, so | lied that the
chocolate was bought by me."
The policewoman pressed, "Think hard, was there anything different about that woman compared to your mother?"
Nina replied, "She had a weird red mark on her neck that mom doesn't have. It's like the mark of an imposter. | asked her about it,
and she said it was just a bug bite."

After taking Nina's statement, the police left. Aurelia gently stroked her hair, comforting, "It’s fine now, sweetheart. Go play."
Nina thumped upstairs in search of her playmates.
The kids had also seen the whistleblower video online. William clapped Nina on the shoulder. "Don't worry. We at SkyWill got your
back."
Mira slapped her forehead tically. "Ugh, | almost got poisoned again. Why's it so risky to eat anything these days? I'm not
ready to kick the bucket!"
Nina pinched Mira's chubby cheek with a smirk. "Because you've got an appetite like a horse, always nibbling on something. It'll be
the death of you one day."
Mira spread her hands wide, a picture of innocence. "It's not my fault. There are too many baddies out there, always plotting
against a princess like me."
"They're not out to get Mira but me," Kane chimed in, "Gluttonous Mira always seemed to get in the way of my would-be assassins.
Mira puffed up her cheeks, hands on hips in indignation. "These villains are the worst. We need to wipe them out, every last one."
Nova seemed to understand, sitting on the play mat, waving her tiny arms, "Fight... the baddies... fight... the baddies."
Nina declared, "We, kids of the Stirling family, gotta stick together and take out the trash."
An idea seemed to strike Mira and she hugged her arms. "We better learn santi-hypnosis quick. What if the baddies hypnotize
us to eat something poisonous and we end up pushing up daisies?"
Nina's eyes whirled with mischief. "Or maybe we should learn shypnosis ourselves. That way, we can make the baddies eat
the poison."
Skyler scratched his head, "Alright, I'll teach you smore about hypnosis."

Though they weren't as gifted as William, they could still learn to be decent hypnotists.
Nina sipped her hot chocolate, whispering almost guiltily, "You guys don't think I'm scary, right? | mean | did technically 'poison’
two people.”
"It's not like you knew that stuff was lethal," William reassured her, glancing at Skyler. "Skyler, can we let them in on our secret?"
Skyler nodded, "They're part of SkyWill now. They should know."
William pulled a stamp from his backpack.
"Do you know what this is?"
"A stamp," Mira said.
"This ain't just any stamp. It's the Reaper's Stamp. Stamp it on someone you dislike, and they'll get a one-way ticket courtesy of
the Shadow Venom," William explained with a serious tone.
