At the peak of a black mountain range, two figures floated in the air, wreathed in black flames. One figure, who stood at roughly four meters in height, and another who stood at roughly two meters. Although there was such a difference in their sizes, the larger figure was bowing his head before the smaller one.
"What is it you wish of me, Master?" The four meter Undead Knight said in his deep voice. Glowing red eyes flashed underneath the four meter Undead Knight's helmet.
"Go to the Central Continent. My sources say that the mysterious Undead Necromancer from Divinity's Bout is participating in the war between the Demons and the defenders of the Central Continent." The two meter figure turned to look at the bowing four meter Undead, red flames flashing behind his skull. "Capture him and bring him back here. Or kill him if you cannot capture him."
"As you wish." The four meter Undead nodded.
"Begone."
The figure of the four meter Undead blurred, and he was gone, leaving the mountain peak with only the two meter tall Undead remaining.
"I wonder how this will go..."

Leon stood with his arms folded as he sat within an underground fortified space that had been built beneath the Wall. His eyes flashed with power as he watched the intense battle between his summons and the Demons in the approaching fleet. He had sent out multiple waves of summons to attack the fleet and chip off their strength little by little.
So far, they had lost seventy ships, and a good number of people, but the incoming army was still strong.
Boom!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWith an explosion of pressurized water, Leon lost his connection with his last summon. Yet another wave had been wiped out.
"They are finally close enough to launch proper attacks." Leon sighed and took control of his other summons. Thousands of magic capable summons gathered on the wall as they awaited the command of their master. The soldiers that came from the other parties of the joint alliance all looked up as they were taken aback by the sudden movements of Leon's summons.
"What's happening?"
"Those Undead summons are gathering at the top of the Wall."
"Someone call the commanders!"
The people began to move around as they passed the news to their superiors. However, the A ranks had already noticed what was happening. With a twist of space, Leonidas, his guards, Patrick, and Lyra appeared in the sky above the Wall. Kai, who was already there, rushed up to meet them.
The sea creatures from Oceabal let out deep groans as they turned their bodies and put some distance between themselves and the Wall. The mana in the air was thrumming with energy and activity as the thousands of summons collectively manipulated the ambient mana in the surroundings.
"What is happening?" Leonidas asked Lyra.
Just then, Leon rose up to the sky from the underground space he had been resting in.
"The Demon fleet is close enough to launch long range spells." Leon replied.
"Surely, they will have defensive treasures to protect themselves against such tactics." Rhys shook hid head.
"I know. That does not mean that it will last forever. And I doubt the Demons would pull out their strongest cards at this point." Leon replied.
"They also have strategists and planners. Those strategists might predict your line of thought and then commit powerful treasures and trump cards to this fleet." Rhys rebutted.
"Still, it would be a waste not to try." Leon shrugged. At that time, he gave the order to his summons.
Hummm!
The energy in the air exploded as a wave of colorful lights exploded from Leon's summons. It was as if matter, time and space melted and dissolved in front of that magnificent show of power.
Hundreds of summons combined their simple spells into supreme versions of magic that were on par with A rank attacks. Seeing this, the eyes of the A ranks in the sky widened and they looked at Leon together, shocked and surprised. Feeling their attention, the corner of Leon's jaw twitched in a smirk.
Dozens of spells that were at Low A rank at the minimum, and a Mid A rank at the maximum blasted out, shooting off into the far distance. The mere shockwaves generated from the launch of those spells caused the sections of the Wall to crumble and shatter, collapsing completely.
The sea in the path of the spells parted, revealing the sea bed in the shallow areas closer to shore. Luckily, the sea monsters from Oceabal had long since sensed that something dangerous would pass through that area, and had moved away.
Giant tsunamis rose in the distance as the spells that shot forward like beams of light struck their targets.
The side effects of the explosions shook the seafloor, creating massive cracks that eventually led to much more devastating effects.
Normally, when A ranks fought, they minimized the effects of their spells and attacks, while making it as effective as possible to their opponents, and less on the environment. That way, they were able to minimize the negative side effects of their attacks.
If A ranks allowed the full range of their powers to take effect, then a lot of places around the world would simply be left in ruin.
One other point that allowed the spells to have such devastating effects was the fact that so many of them were concentrated on a single point, so it was like an overlapping effect that constantly pressured that point.
A giant wave rose from the sea, rushing right at the shore of the Desolate Lands.
"Let me handle this." Dion floated forward until he passed the Wall and floated over the sea. He rose his arms up and took a deep breath, closing his eyes as he did so.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBoom!
An invisible shockwave burst out from Dion as his eyes snapped open. A gargantuan amount of power was poured into the sea from his body. The churning ocean suddenly stilled, freezing, almost as if time had stopped over the ocean.
The rushing wave quickly approached the frozen sea, bubbling and frothing.
Whoosh!
The wave rushed into the frozen zone with power and force, but was instantly stopped in its tracks. Dion stared at it with cold eyes before gesturing with a flick of his wrist. The water instantly poured downwards, and back into the ocean, before the sea returned to normal. Well, as normal as it could get.
Dion had taken care of the worst of it, but there would still be some large and strong waves coming in the next few hours.
"Oris, go and check the state of the fleet." Leon told Oris, and the Dark Wing Eagle appeared behind him like a shadow.
Caw!
Oris let out a screech and took off, shooting forward and vanishing from sight in a moment as he created a space tunnel to boost his speed.
"..." Rhys looked at Leon with a straight face, but his eyes were shaking. That was frightening power, and he did not think that even he, with his reality warping abilities could escape that unscathed.
'If the fleet did not possess a powerful ace card, then they might have been wiped out!' Rhys realized with shock and his heart shook. He instantly imagined such an assault striking Gublin, and once again, the scare factor of Necromancers was hammered and seared into his heart and mind.
'This Leon...' Leonidas thought to himself. 'He does not seem to have reached his peak, yet he is so powerful. If his summons reach A rank, then he would become an unstoppable behemoth that is capable of rolling over the weaker kingdoms of the Central Continent. In fact, even some major powers might fall at his feet when confronted by such power!' Leonidas' rating of Leon instantly jumped up a few notches, and his heart beat faster with excitement.
'I want to spar with him, but his personal power is not up to par. I must make sure he becomes a steady ally to the Empire.' Leonidas decided at once.
"That was amazing!" Ursula emerged from the castle on the back of the largest sea creature with a grin. She clapped her hands and her deep blue eyes sparkled with glee and excitement. She had intentionally not acted upon seeing Leon's summons gather their power to launch an attack. She wanted to know the extent of Leon's power, and she was not disappointed.
