170 Zi Han’s first party

“Stop squeezing his fin like that. He doesn’t like it,” said Zi Han causing Li Ran to break out into a chuckle. He had seen this plushy move back and forth between them numerous times but even now he still wasn’t used to it. He still found it ridiculous.

“I am his dad so I will decide what he likes and doesn’t like,” replied the straight-faced Yi Chen while pinching the fin repeatedly.

Li Ran, “...”

Zi Han laughed out loud hearing this. “So if you are the dad then what makes me? Chen-ge, you are lucky I am in a great mood otherwise.....” he said while wagging his finger.

Yi Chen who had been brazen lately grabbed his finger and pulled him closer before saying, “Otherwise what?” with a hint of mischief in his eyes.

“I will..... I,” stammered Zi Han before he realized he had no idea what he meant to say after the word ‘otherwise’.

Yi Chen’s brow twitched as though urging him on. Zi Han pulled away his finger as he swore under his breath. “Shit.... don’t be so smug. I will find a way to make you miserable you will see.”

After saying this Zi Han left and joined Shorty who was waiting for him at the door. Yi Chen followed Zi Han’s figure with his eyes and a sweet smile appeared on his face once the person was gone.

When he looked away Li Ran said, “Tsk, tsk, why do you have on such a disgusting sweet smile?”

.....

Yi Chen relaxed into his seat and sighed before saying, “Don’t ask questions you don’t want answers to.”

Li Ran chortled while logging out of the display screen on his desk. That’s when he noticed a line of sight on him.

When he looked over he saw Hela looking in his direction. Time seemed to slow down at this moment as she made a finger gun gesture at him, closed one of her eyes and pretended to act like she was pulling the trigger with a devious smile on her face.

Li Ran’s lips quirked up as he placed his hand on his chest accepting that this beauty had shot him in the heart.

Yi Chen, “.....”

“I am going to kiss her at the party tonight, I promise you that,” said Li Ran brimming with confidence. Yi Chen was uncertain if his buddy would be able to succeed but he was truly envious.

If only he had that confidence maybe he would have already given away his first kiss to Zi Han.

***

Four hours later and Li Ran was putting his plan into action while Zi Han was trying to casually walk out of the house without being interrogated.

“I am going out. Don’t wait up,” said Zi Han while grabbing a handful of nuts from the bowl his mother was eating from.

Zi Xingxi who had her feet up with a glass of whiskey beside her looked at him and smiled while saying, “Hey handsome. You look good.”

Zi Han looked down at his ordinary black ankle-length slim jeans ripped around his knees and thighs and beige t-shirt before shaking his head.

His mother who was tipsy by now gently patted his cheek and continued, “Aww, you are even wearing your daddy’s leather jacket.... He was wearing that the night we kissed for the first time.”

Zi Han, “.....”

“Well, I won’t be kissing anyone tonight,” he said while placing his hand over hers.

“Don’t mind her.... your mother has been under a lot of pressure..... but don’t worry you go out and have fun. I will take good care of her,” said Zi Feiji as he placed a bowl of ramen in her hand before sitting next to her.

“Aww, thank you, daddy,” she said acting all spoilt like she was five years old again.

Zi Han, “....”

It’s a good thing he left the house when he did otherwise his mother wouldn’t have let him go. She was crying for her baby a few minutes after he left the house.

Instead of Old Lu driving him to Hela’s villa it was secretary K. The entire way he was instructing Zi Han that is giving him a lecture on safety.

Zi Xingxi had indeed offended a lot of people and it was especially crucial that they had safety protocols in place and be prepared for anything.

Zi Han wasn’t impatient in the slightest. He listened quietly but in truth, he was very excited about his first party.

As soon as the door of the hovercar opened Zi Han was like a bunny let out of a cage for the first time. He shot out like lightning leaving secretary K with a vexed expression.

The moment Zi Han stepped through the door his eyes were suddenly closed by someone. That fragrant smell was so familiar to him that he directly called out, “Shannon.”

Annoyed she took her hands away and Shaun opened his light brain and said, “Pay up. I told you he will be able to tell it’s you.”

Shorty chuckled while watching the crazy twins arguing over the bet that Shannon lost. He opened a beer for Zi Han and asked, “Do you want it?”

Zi Han smiled while accepting it. “Thanks,” he said before looking around. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, he could see a group of students hanging around the luxurious heated pool. Some were in the water despite the weather and playing games.

At the far end of the lawn, smoke was rising as someone was turning burger patties, and a variety of meat pieces while the others were plating. Others were smoking and drinking while leisurely chatting.

The interesting music tied everything together making it the perfect first-time party experience.

While Zi Han was judging the party Li Ran who was standing a few feet away next to Yi Feng suddenly took a picture of Zi Han drinking a beer and sent it to Yi Chen.

TheGoddess’Man: I thought you said your little disciple won’t be coming?

Yi Chen who was having dinner out with his family took a casual glance at his light brain. He was about to ignore Li Ran when the second message prompt appeared.

He stopped peeling shrimp for Ming Ming and took a look. When he opened the image he saw the very same person who said he wasn’t going a couple of days ago drinking like a fish at the party.

“Ha....,” he muttered under his breath his expression darkening slightly. The betrayal was stabbing straight at his heart. What he didn’t realize was that Zi Han only said he wasn’t going to go because Yi Chen had told him he was going out with his family. Zi Han knew if he said he was going Yi Chen would change his plans for him thus he lied.
