Chapter 921
The ongoing teen drama series w
was so boring that it almost put Larissa to sleep. She struggled to stay awake. Her gaze happened to
catch a glimmer of light seeping through the door cr ack.
Kevan pushed the door open and walked in. He waved to Larissa. “Can you step out for a moment?”
As she was still holding a grudge from the previous night’s leud,’ she pretended not to hear him. She remained
nonchalant at him.
Kevan smiled faintly. He approached her, bent down, and picked her up.
“Aaaaaaah-she exclaimed. She was squirming in his arms.

entertaining than the cheesy teen drama.
Kevan held Larissa’s flailing hands in place. He apologized to Wendy. “I need to talk to her.”
Wendy nodded confidently. “Yeah, sure! As long as you need to!”
Larissa turned and glared at Wendy. Kevan carried Larissa into the study. He locked the door behind them. He
gestured for her to sit on the desk and positioned himself between her legs. He wrapped his arms around her
shoulders loosely. But this position…
She placed her hands on the desk, attempting to move backward. But he firmly pulled her back.
“Don’t move. I have something important to discuss with you.” He gripped the nape of her neck.
Her face and neck flushed instantly. She felt embarrassed and indignant. “Why do you need to talk in a position like
this?”
“Ch? So, what position do you prefer?” Kevan raised his eyebrows. His tone carried a hint of flirtatiousness.
Larissa wisely chose not to engage. She remained silent. Kevan chuckled softly seeing her relent. However, he
quickly reverted to
seriousness when he sensed the threat in her eyes.
“Here’s the thing. Edmund’s case is going to trial soon. You and Wendy may be summoned as witnesses. You should
be fine. But Wendy
“Must Wendy go?” She didn’t want Wendy to testify in court. Recounting the events would add another layer of
trauma to her.
“It would be better if she does. How about you go and ask her? If she’s unwilling, we’ll leave it at that,” he
suggested, trying to discuss the
matter with her.

“Don’t worry too much about her.” He cradled her face in his hands, using his thumbs to gently lift the corners of
her mouth coaxing a
smile. “You look better like this.”
Larissa gave him a wry look and replied coldly, “You’re childish.”
“Didn’t you say that Wendy plays Microworks’ online game? Why don’t you ask her to give me her account? I can
send her some in-game currency. Maybe it will make her happier? Kevan suggested hesitantly.
As it turned out, Wendy was more than just a little happier.
“Holy cr ap!” she exclaimed in excitement as she stared at the string of zeros behind her in-game currency
balance. “Forget about testifying in court; I’d gladly kill Edmund myself”
She was more than eager to make Edmund pay for his actions; she wouldn’t have shirked her responsibility even
without the in-game currency. So, the in-game currency was an added bonus.
