Slowly, Eisen stepped through the Guild in the company of his group with his full demonic transformation. As such, he initially got quite a lot of confused looks, and the guards even placed their hands on their weapons to get ready for anything that may happen. But since Eisen was only walking through the crowd with a smile and was also accompanied by Xenia, who was known by anyone that spent even a single moment in the guild, they couldn’t do anything about it and stood there confused.
It surprisingly wasn’t any better on the streets, and Eisen was naturally avoided by everyone, before the group reached a point where they would split up.
With a smile, and after thinking a moment about what each of them should be doing, for now, Eisen looked at Komer first. "Can you start preparing for sales? As in, get everything set up that you need to, look for the best spot and maybe even reserve it somehow. It would be great if you can start selling a few items from tomorrow on."
Quickly, Komer nodded in response, although he seemed to be a bit nervous. "I’ll try, but you’ll be asleep tomorrow, right?"
"Yes, I will be, but that really doesn’t matter now, does it? It’s not like I could be with you constantly when you’re selling things. And when we build our Town, you’re going to be the head of the merchant district, so you should be able to do things like this on your own." Eisen told him before Komer looked at Eisen in surprise.
"H-Huh? You’re going to make me the head of a whole district..?" He asked before Eisen nodded with an expression as if it was an obvious choice.
"Well, none of the Originals specialize in sales like that. So it would be somewhat obvious, right? I mean, I don’t know about Brody, but nobody else knows any other good merchants, right?" Eisen said before the others in the group seemed to agree to what he said.
"I... I see... Thank you, I won’t disappoint you then. I’ll work on it, don’t worry. Is there anything else you want me to do?" He asked, and Eisen thought for a moment, before coming to a single conclusion.
"Rank up your Mana Manipulation. I think you should get a great element at this point." He said, before turning down to look at Caria and Melissa. "By the way, don’t think I forgot about your guys’ lessons. You’ll work on ranking up your mana manipulation as well." He said strictly before Caria lightly began to pout, and Melissa looked up at Eisen with a small smile.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Alright! I’ll do that then!" The young man said excitedly, anxious to soon find out what his element would be since he saw Eisen’s ’flame of the earth’ being this awesome quite a lot.
Then, Eisen looked over at Bree, Dien, and Xenia. "If possible, could you three maybe look for materials for the ritual useful to break Kirisho’s curse?" He asked and they, Bree especially, quickly nodded as the Fey-Kin girl leaned against Dien, and Xenia spoke up. "We can do that, sure. Shouldn’t take too long," She said with a shrug before Eisen thanked them and turned to Evalia and Sky.
"And what do you two want to do? I don’t have anything specific I want to ask of either of you." He told them before they both made their choices.
Evalia said that she would tag along with Komer so that he wouldn’t be alone, and because this would be a great chance to walk around town a bit more again, and Sky said he would like to come along with Eisen.
"Alright, then we’ll meet up again later," Eisen announced before they all split up again. Obviously, Eisen’s group got the most attention out of all of them.
But Eisen didn’t mind, it’s not like he was doing anything evil, and in case anyone was trying to cause trouble for him, he could quickly transform back into his regular form and show them that he was just a person. With that in mind, the group, after walking past the stables to grab a few different items, stepped through town toward the place that Dien talked about. It didn’t take long to find it either since it was probably the largest building in the area and the only one that was at least somewhat presentable in the area also.
So without further ado, they stepped through the entrance gateway, leading up into something like a park area, since it seemed like the whole building was split into three parts. The Orphanage, the hospital, and the shelter, some smaller buildings were surrounding it that still seemed to belong to the compound, but what Eisen was now approaching was the main entrance.
With a smile, Eisen grasped the knocker attached to the large wooden door, and hit it against the surface a few times, before there seemed to be some movement beyond the door, which slowly began to open.
"Yes, how can I help... you...?" A young woman wearing a nun’s outfit asked as she looked up at Eisen, stumbling back slightly the moment she saw the glow coming from his flames.
Obviously, she would be startled at the sight of someone that looked the way Eisen did at first glance, so the old man quickly chose to move on to the topic at hand. "Hello there, young lady. I heard that this place might need some helping hands." He explained before the young woman slowly nodded.
"Y-Yes, we do, b-but... Wha-what are you?" She asked with a clear stutter out of nervousness, and Eisen smiled softly.
"I’m just someone that wants to help. As long as that’s the case, what does it matter who or what I am?" He said, before the young nun slowly nodded, still visibly nervous. "The church never rejects anyone. So please, c-come on in." She told Eisen and the rest, before they stepped inside, following the nun around the courtyard.
"We need help with many different things currently. We need to repair parts of the building, treat the people in the hospital, feed the children, patients and homeless, and make sure we supervise the children so that they don’t runoff. We would like to have a proper teacher for them, but right now, that’s not currently possible for us, simply because we’re far too busy." The nun told them, while everyone listened carefully, as Eisen was coming up with a few ideas already.
"Alright, I can definitely help with parts of that. I will help with the repairing the building then, and I do have some potions that can help with the treatment of the ill. If you trust me enough with making food for everyone, I would be able to do that also." The old man explained to her, before the nun turned to him in surprise.
"You want to do all of that?" She stopped as she looked up at the Demonic man following her, who swiftly nodded. "As I said, that is why I am here. And I’m a craftsman by heart, so I will create whatever I can."
Slowly, the young woman nodded, seemingly only slightly forcing her smile. "Thank you. Currently, the broken-down areas are not occupied and are stable, so that’s not currently our biggest priority. What we need most is treatment for the sick and food for everyone. You said you have potions, right?" The nun inquired before Eisen opened his backpack and took out one of the small barrels that he had filled to the brim with Low-Grade Health Potions. He had some other potions with him as well and knew that Sky had a story called ’Medicine God’ in one of his books, which he asked him to bring just for this.
It seemed like that ’Medicine God’ had the ability to strengthen and correctly administer everything seen as medicine in any way, including potions. The Medicine God was a skilled physician, which was ultimately the perfect thing in this kind of situation.
Sky only read through the story once, so his connection to it wasn’t great, but he should be able to summon him for a short while at least. And maybe, once Eisen saw the method that the Medicine God was using, he may be able to emulate it somewhat at least a little bit.
"How many people need to be fed?" Eisen asked as he tried moving his hand through his beard, which caused a few small cracking sounds as it split up into individual strands again, and the nun quickly thought about it for a few seconds before answering.
"There are around 100 people in total, I would say. It’s too many for us to cook for, especially because we don’t have the ingredients." She explained before Eisen closed his eyes to think up a good idea of what to make for that many people.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Alright, I’ll write a list of ingredients and give you the money to buy all of it. Just see it as a donation, so there’s no need to pay me back. If possible, it would be great if you could go out shopping while I start preparing what I can and see my way around the kitchen." He said, surprising the nun immediately, before she quickly nodded, hoping that this person in front of her wasn’t lying.
"Yes! I’m going to ask some of the older kids from the orphanage to help out, then we should be able to bring everything here!" She said, feeling incredibly nervous and as if she was in a rush, sped up and slurred her speech a slight bit.
"Calm down, young miss. Then please, if you could introduce me to some of the other people working here so that they won’t get scared if they suddenly see me, that would be great." He told her before she nodded and began walking along the hallway in a hurry, leading the group to the kitchen.
After quickly introducing them to the kitchen staff, the nun chose to hurry along back outside once she received the money and ingredient list from Eisen before the old man turned to Kiron. "Could you please go along with them to do some of the heavy liftings? And wear one of my crafting outfits to at least somewhat hide that you’re a monster, alright?" Eisen asked of the constantly near-to-naked Half-Dragon, who then swiftly nodded and put the clothes onto himself as he followed the nun quickly.
And now, Eisen stood in front of the kitchen staff, made up of the Head-Chef and one apprentice, both of which were looking at the old man confused and were generally unsure of what was going on. Noticing this, Eisen crossed his arms with a smile. "So, can either of you show me what kind of equipment you have here?" He asked, taking the initiative in this cooperation, before the Head-Chef, a middle-aged dwarf, nodded his head.
"We don’t have great things ’ere, but at least we ’ave a basic stove and oven." He explained before Eisen took a look. Seemingly, these actually were the only kitchen equipment they had. And they weren’t in the best of condition either, as they were mainly cracked and broken down to a large extent.
"Hmm, I may need to repair these later, but for now I’ll do something else." The old man muttered, looking for an open space in the room as he summoned his Staff from his soul storage, before extending it forward and creating a few flat working surfaces, a large, bordering on huge, stone oven, and a stove-setup meant for many large pots, which the kitchen here seemed to have plenty of.
As the Head-Chef and his apprentice were staring at the things that just appeared in front of them in wonder, Eisen turned around to them after noticing the unused soil outside the window. "Can we quickly use that area there for a while?" He asked the chef, who slowly nodded, before Eisen looked at Caria and Melissa.
"You two go outside and grow a few different vegetables. Onions, potatoes, and carrots to be exact. Focus on them being extremely healthy and nutritious. We have more than enough time, so you don’t need to work on size or amount." He told them as he grabbed a few bags out of his backpack and handed them to the Myconid girl. Who happily took them into her hands together with Empress Bee Melissa and ran outside, quickly burrowing through the dirt to plant what they needed, as he looked at the Fey-kin still standing next to Eisen, the old man got an idea.
"Sky, is the ’Medicine God’ an actual deity?" He asked him, before Sky looked up at Eisen in surprise before nodding slowly. "Not a full deity, but he does have some Divine powers, yeah."
With a grin, Eisen then turned to the chef and apprentice. "I’ve seen many different idols for different gods here in this church-run building... I’m sure you also have a library where there’s some information about the ’Medicine God’, right? Please, bring my friend there and let him read whatever he can about him."
Eisen told them as they looked at each other in confusion before the old man sighed repeated himself. "Please, it’s important for his magic that just might save some of the people here today," He said before the apprentice nodded and brought Sky outside, while Eisen turned his attention to the Head-Chef.
"Alright, please show me the ingredients you have here. I’m going to start working on the food for tonight."
