Chapter 127
Jessica heard Olivia’s stomach making a noise. She froze at first, and then covered her mouth with a
napkin and chuckled.
Jessica said. “I seems that Mine Thomas doesn’t like the dishes I ordered. Should I add a few more
dishes for you?”
The Thomas and the Hall families were both rich and powerful families, so Olivia obviously knew that
making such noises in public was very inelegant
Olivia blushed, yet the pain in her belly occupied her full attention.
“Sorry, but I have to use the restroom” Olivia whispered with a bent head. She then hurriedly left her
seat and ran towards the restroom
After Olivia teft, only Jessica and Lucas were left at the table.
Jessica put down the tableware, took a sip of water, and looked at Lucas. “Mr. Thomas, are you done
eating? Can we start the point now?
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMiss Hall, I invited you to dinner today just to apologize to you.” Lucas nodded. =
“Is that so? Now that we have done with the food, can you start apologizing? Or should we wait for
Miss Thomas to come back?” Jessica crossed her arms and looked at Lucas calmly.
“We don’t have to. As her elder brother, I should be the one apologizing.” Lucas folded his hands on
the table and said, “I’m sorry, Olivia has done a lot of wrong things recently.”:
Jessica raised her eyebrows. She snorted and said, “Only Miss Thomas?”
Lucas looked up and gazed at Jessica with his deep golden eyes.
Jessica knew Lucas quite well. He was reserved and had a strong sense of self-esteem.
During their three years of marriage, Jessica had never seen Lucas apologize to anyone.’
As for Olivia’s apology, Jessica had heard it too many times and got bored. It was more interesting to
see Olivia embarrass herself than to hear her apologize.
Lucas was not irritated as Jessica had expected. Instead, he said indifferently, “Yes, I have also done
many wrong things. I should apologize to you, too. Sorry, Jessica.”
Lucas was not only apologizing for the trouble that he had brought to Jessica recently, but he was also
apologizing for the three years they spent as a couple.
Three years ago, Lucas should have done a thorough investigation so that he would have known that
Jessica was also the victim.
Jessica froze at Lucas’ apology. So did Olivia, who had just come back from the restroom.
Both Jessica and Olivia couldn’t believe that Lucas had apologized.
Olivia suddenly realized that Lucas must feel different about Jessica now.
Moreover, Lucas’ change in attitude towards Jessica was not because Jessica turned out to be Miss
Hall, but probably because Lucas had fallen for Jessica.
Jessica only recovered from her shock when she saw Olivia return,
“I accept your apology, but I will never forgive Miss Thomas.” Jessica quickly pulled herself together
and said lightly, “If Miss
Thomas can appear less in front of me in the future, I think we will have a lot less trouble.”
With that, Jessica stood up, took her bag, and left directly.
Jessica did not believe that three days of punishment would make Olivia a brand new person. Thus,

For the sake of future cooperation between the two families, Jessica let Olivia get away. But if Olivia
dared to make a fuss again,
Jessica wouldn’t be this merciful.
Jessica stood at the entrance of the restaurant, only to recall that it was Wendy who drove her over
today. She wanted to call Wendy and ask Wendy to pick her up when Lucas walked out.
Miss Hall, perhaps I may send you,” said Lucas after he glanced at the sky and realized it was already
late.
What? Lucas, how should I go back then?” Olivia’s eyes lingered between Lucas and Jessica. She
hoped that Jessica would quickly refuse.
However, to Olivia’s surprise, Jessica smiled. She put her phone back into her bag and nodded at
Lucas. “Sure. Thank you, Mr. Thomas
Lucas nodded and glanced at Olivia before he left, “Wait here for the driver to pick you up.”
By the time Olivia realized that she had not brought her cell phone with her, Lucas and Jessica had
already boarded the car and left. Olivia’s belly hurt again.
