Chapter 160
Cynthia knew the routine with Old Man Neal and Mrs. Neal Senior, but knowing it was one thing and dealing with it
was another. She could not just say no as the elders were very good to her. Moreover, she was not very busy right
now. If she did not go, it would seem impolite..
“When is Old Man Neal’s birthday?” Mitchell asked.
“September 15th,” Cynthia replied.
“I remember Joshua is going abroad on the 16th. You can casually ask in advance and use that as an excuse if it’s
true,” Mitchell suggested, remembering something he knew before. The deadline for the cool-off period to obtain
the divorce certificate was thirty days. If Cynthia missed it, she would have to reapply for the divorce and wait
another month.
A lot could happen in a month.

Anyway, she had to go and get the divorce done the day after tomorrow. She used to like Jiverton, but not
anymore.
Before hanging up the phone, Mitchell said, “By the way, I told Joshua I like you.
Cynthia was confused by his actions,
“He seems jealous,” Mitchell added.
“I doubt he’ll get jealous over this. Don’t make that kind of joke in front of Jimmy and rest, Cynthia replied, already
feeling calm.
“I know.” Mitchell laughed.
Jimmy and the other’s ability to gossip could blow everything out of proportion.
After the phone call ended, Mitchell began preparing to return to Nexuria. He had been in Jiverton for so long, and
things were piling up on the Nexuria side.
Cynthia, on the other hand, enjoyed her days of leisure. However, after two days of leisure, it was time to get back
to work. If it were not for her personal assistant pushing her, she would have wanted to live on a scenic and
pleasant island for a while after the divorce.
It was now lunchtime, and Cynthia made herself some lunch. While eating, she thought about what Mitchell had
said and called Yoel, indirectly inquiring about Joshua’s upcoming business trip. After confirming that Joshua was
indeed going on the 16th, she felt relieved.
After hanging up, Cynthia thought about Ellora and decided to give her a call. She did not want Ellora to keep
everything to herself, and she also did not trust Chyler.
The call was answered almost instantly.
“Hey…”
“Cynthia, help me! Chyler wants to abort my baby.” Ellora’s voice sounded hoarse, and she spoke rapidly, fear
evident in her tone.
“Where are you now?”
Cynthia did not waste any time and got straight to the point.

“…
Just as Ellora was about to reply, the call was already disconnected. Cynthia quickly dialed again but found that
Ellora’s phone was switched off.
At that moment, on Ellora’s end, Chyler had discovered her escape attempt. He locked her in the car and threw her
switched-off phone as far away from her as possible.
“Trying to run away?” Chyler squeezed her wrist, his gaze icy.
He had not expected this.
The woman had agreed last night to listen to him and have the abortion, but while he was at work, she secretly
bought a plane ticket, intending to leave.
“Let me go!”
Ellora struggled with all her might, but her efforts were futile due to the vast difference in strength.
