Cloaking myself in divinity, I lifted my arms as the shook wave raced through the galaxy, shredding away stars and nebulas to dust. Sweat ran down my spine at the destruction brought on by the Seven stars of Ruin.
"Think he is dead?" I muttered absentmindedly.
"Don't you have divine sense? Plus the Darkness? Should you not know." Said Lilith in a scolding tone. Knowing she was right, I gave a wry chuckle and peered using the darkness as my eyes. My divine since only covered seven kilometers, and the Torn Demon was well out of reach.
Witnessing a single-arm floating freely in the confine of space, I grew a bit suspicious. It was a bit odd, in my opinion. Even if we got the drop on Lucaris, one of the weakest of Demons was able to speak. This proved he was resourceful, if not cunning. I am sure he is still alive.
"He is hiding. Be on guard." I warned.
"Amilia Bloodgrave." Lemuria coldly called, staring at my wife with a chilling light. Her cheeks were a tad bit pale, making it clear she was not that exhausted. "Who are you really? Your battle prowess is just as high as your husband's. "
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLilith chuckled, "Have you fallen for my charm? Fear not if you are interested; I am willing to have a taste. I am sure my husband won't mind?"
"Hell yes, he will mind!" I coldly intervened, "If I'm not involved, it's not happening!" I warned, shooting Lilith a dark stare.
Snorting contemptuously holding on to that ingrained arrogance, Lemuria sneered almost involuntarily, sending a glance towards the wreckage of space, twisting into a spiraling wasteland of divinity eating away at the laws.
"Have you given up?" I slighted, testing the waters, and lowered my weapon with a half-smile. Maintaining my divine sense locked around me, devouring the very laws touching me, little by little, I scanned for the torn demon waiting to strike.
"My mission is complete. As much as it pains me," She remarked, surprising me. Our eyes grew wide when a radiant power flowed around her body all of a sudden. Washing over her, the Wizard Cloak Lilith destroyed appeared once more.
Glaring at the power, I would be a fool not to recognize that type of energy, "The Angels sent you." I uttered, confused by what had happened.
"Archangel Seraphina will be in touch," She uttered when all of a sudden the Torn Devil appeared by her side, smiling as if his arm was not missing.
"till we meet again. I hope I will finally be able to cut loose on that day. Two lords battling one another will be quite the sight, wouldn't you agree? Till then may your blade stand true, till we due battle once more, " Lucaris swore, rippling into a mist of eerie darkness that smelt of brimstone.
"All of this was just a test? But why?" Said, Lilith.
"War is on the horizon, and we need warriors. If this were a battle of the death, Lucaris would have been more than enough to kill you both. One of the lowest of demons. Were it not for the Angel's Grace. I would not be who I am. To grant me, a realm Lord Devil, with the Battle Prowess of an early Lord, is surreal." She claimed as her body began to glow with radiant golden light fading in and out of existence, alongside her ship, she narrowed her eyes. "We will be watching Asura and Amilia Bloodgrave," she said, vanishing away before our eyes.
"I could handle an early realm lord, but that's about it. Were you not here, the battle against her would have gone differently." I bitterly reasoned, "Seems like we need to start training a bit more."
Lilith nodded and drew close to me. Patting my head to comfort the bitterness of this battle. Her eyes grew a bit cloud for a moment then faded. "You still have a lot to learn, Sene. We are still young; when we head back to the sect, let's head into one of their time chambers. I am sure you can fully master Chrimson Winds and War of Kings in a few hundred more years."
Knowing she had seen something I didn't, I could only nod and take the hint. This battle had only lasted a few seconds in total, not even a minute, but so many things had happened.
Interlocking her arms with mine, we raced back to the ship and gazed at the wreckage caused by Lemuria's people. Listening to the bitter whimpers of my fellow sect members, I turned to Arken bleeding out over the wooden rails. Filled with vicious lacerations that revealed bones, Arken held onto his stomach tightly, holding in his guts, threatening to spill out.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Did you send out a signal?" I calmly questioned, knowing there was little I could do to help this man. Sure I had some blood gems, but they were for me. After this battle, I will be damn if I decide to share my hard-earned healing pills.
Slipping down to his knees, Arken's pale cheeks, wet with blood, gained an ashen color as his lips slowly began to turn blue. "Sent." he uttered, wheezing bitterly for air." Protect. Protect t... the..."
Chopping the back of his neck, I indifferently watched Arken's eyes roll to the back of his head as he fell limp over the ground. "Amilia," I called.
"I got it." She replied, rushing to his side, releasing an aura of pure harmony, filled with life. A warm, gentle mist washed over the ship, mending the living and none living. Watching as the ship itself that was tattered beyond measure began to mend itself, I could not help but grow envious of those from the Abyss. Being able to have an innate understanding of every Dao was ridiculous.
Pursing my lips, I looked around, narrowing my eyes at the two missing chosen. Racing down into the lower deck, I ignored the bloody smears racing along the walls. I sent out my divine sense. Picking up on the two targets, I took a single step forwards and appeared beneath their shadow.
"Talos?" I resounded, rising from behind Kurt, littered with a few cuts and bruises. The same could be said about Sigfried, as they stared at me in shock. I crossed my arms and chuckled.
"Asura," he gravely said, seemingly aware that the angels were watching at some point.
"you two have your orders. Do you understand them?" Talos asked with a solemn air as the two chosen nodded. "good, then ill be off and Kurt. Your master will not be too happy. You know no one can calm her anger once she gets riled up.. You had best prepare."
