Chapter 406: Aiza's Invite
"Just find us a map," Lilith uttered sharply, narrowing her chilling amethyst eyes.
Fairly lowering her head, the fox girl's tail and ears hung low with an air of sorrow. "B-but of course," she said weakly, withdrawing from sight.
Curling my lips downward, I touched my heart that was thumping madly against my chest with such a firey rage. I felt abyssal scales beneath my flesh beginning to rise from my arm.
"What is this madness," I whispered, pushing soul force deep within me to combat whatever was going on.
"It's a psychedelic that works only on males,' Said Lilith, softly placing her hands upon my head. Pushing in some abyssal energy directly into my mind that swiftly changed into divine essence, the building cloud of rage began to fade. "I don't know how it works, but it messes with some part of the brain, forcing you to become a slave to another. When she is happy, you are happy; when she is sad, you are sad."
"It's called the amygdala," I muttered as a wave of darkness shone deep within my eyes. Snuffing out the source that was within my brain, a new understanding grew within me. Such a thing would not work upon me again.
"Are you alright young master?" inquired Sophia, the name of the fox girl that got the honor of having me remember her name.
"Papa, I am hungry," Hissed the little dragon, crossing her arms as she glared at Sophia.
"So am I, but I have quite the course to eat tonight," I lovingly said, patting her head, "Did you bring the map?"
Peering deep into her heart, a cold radiance of that of a storm filled the little prey as a realization appeared within her mind.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"how?"
"The map, darling. You wouldn't like us to make a scene, would you?" I inquired softly, masking the devilish torment I was going to ensue upon this little half-blood.
"Is there something going on? Sophia, are you alright?" A tall man, clad in a crimson vest and white tunic, inquired, narrowing his sharp serpent-like eye that was hidden behind a set of thin glass.
"We were just asking for the map," Stated Lilith factually, "If you would not mind, we are in quite a hurry. How much will this be?"
"Of course, a map of the Sword cost, is it?" He uttered with a false smile that held a worried hue to it.
"Was there none of Alos?" I flatly asked my next prey, which would be served alongside our elven attendant. That bastard heard too much of my defeat! Lives must be taken to ensure my honor remains!
"No, young master," Sophia softly told to our dismay.
"That will be Seven thousand Celeste," The man presumed to be the manager stated coldly.
Tossing a single spiral ring with the right amount, Lilith waved her hand, snatching the merchandise held within a box; we swiftly parted.
Leaving Mystic Wonders, Arkanos lifted her head with a vibrant glint. "What will papa be making?"
"Have you ever seen a Sophia?" I stated with a chilling undertone, "It's a flower, with notes of gold and the scent of honey."
"Is it tasty?" The little dragon asked with flushed cheeks.
"The one I'm going to make is going to be."
Arching her lips, Lilith rubbed her shoulders against mine, giggling right in my ear, "I wanna watch this time."
Lifting my head high, I glared, "No fooling around by the food!" I coldly stated my terms.
"Fooling around, but no penetration," She countered.
"You are contaminating the food, woman! Have you no shame!"
Crossing her arms with a triumphant glint, Lilith pressed, "Than you better aim properly!"
Glaring at the smirk pressed against her lips, a dark plan appeared within my mind. In war, one needs to know when to back off. It may be a tad too much, but I am going to break you, my dear queen. We shall see who has the final laugh.
A/N: Their relationship is weird, lol.
Chuckling evilly, Lilith and I were about to push ahead when a shadow of a flicker appeared just at my feet. Dressed in robes, almost like a ninja, he stood on one knee, Holding a small letter with both hands.
"For you, From Her Highness Aiza." He said without emotion.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThat was Yu Jing's teach if I remember correctly. I can't say I wish to have dealings with the master when the disciple is so cold and ruthless to her own.
Somewhat hesitant, I took the letter from the stranger's hands, watching him vanish into a puff of smoke, truly like a ninja.
"I need to train my Faceless like that. It could be a division of sorts," I muttered absentmindedly.
"Open the letter, silly," Lilith lightly told, resting her chin on my shoulder in a lazy fashion. Humming in response, I began to speak aloud the letter.
"Dear Arsene,
I would like to formally invite you and Princess Yura to lunch at my estate. My disciple tells me great things about you, and the same can be said of Aeron, who I had the lovely honor of speaking with just the other day. Your attendance is more than appreciated.
Sincerely, Aiza Syv "
"Shit," Both Lilith and I stated aloud in awe.
"She knows who we are," added Lilith with a chilling tone.
Crumpling the letter, a flicker of scarlet lighting thundered at the tip of my finger, turning the letter to ash.
Dismissively shaking my head, I smirked, "She knows some of it, not all, but this could work in our favor. We are not enemies, and since she hasn't killed you or me on sight, we can say she needs us for something. Just like with Aeron. "
"Ummm, what is Arkanos going to eat?" Inquired the small dragon with blistering eyes brimming with tears.
"We were invited to see Yu Jings' Master. It's a lunch party, and it's almost time... Um, any of you know how to get there?"
Laughing into her palms, Lilith shrugged, "Looks like our first impression isn't going to be great."
