When Griselda informed him that everything was practically free, it felt like his soul that was dissipating in space had magically come back to his body.
"W-What did you say?" Lei Zhen stuttered and asked.
"Sigh, I said that these are built by people that have received your gratitude." Griselda facepalmed, feeling like she was talking to a brick.
pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ "Received my gratitude?" He raised an eyebrow.
"You really need some smacking. Did you think your achievement in the civil war and capturing the criminal black mage are trivial matters?" She sneered coldly.
"Indeed, almost every citizen has posters of you and your signature mask on their house. You are like the hero to them, so why would anyone charge you when they heard you wanted to build a headquarter." Tie Longkun intervened, giving him a thumbs up.
He was a wandering swordsman in the game most of the time, and even he was impressed by Lei Zhen's achievement.
No one else except him could cause almost the entire population of a country to treat him as their idol and hero.
"Am I really that impressive?" Lei Zhen was dumbfounded.
What he did wasn't even special since he was just commanding in the backline.
He never even fought once properly nor properly helped the citizens in any way.
"Of course you are." Tie Longkun was the first one to answer his question.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"I'm proud to be a member of Zero Fear even though it's just starting up. Having a guild leader such as you is my honor." He added.
And as much as Griselda wanted to beat Lei Zhen up for his ignorance, she had to agree with Tie Longkun's words.
"You should open up your rapport tab and see your reputation in Yors Castle," Griselda suggested.
With him opening the rapport tab, he could stop doubting himself and see what he had really achieved, saving much of her energy and breath to explain manually.
Lei Zhen nodded his head and opened his rapport tab, only to be stunned by his own reputation among Yors Castle.
"What the hell is this?" Lei Zhen asked in shock.
"Why is my reputation called Hero and affinity with citizens are all capped out?" He turned toward Griselda and asked.
"Sigh, wouldn't you be called a hero if you divert Yors Castle away from danger? If that's not counted as a hero, then the reputation of a hero is really superficial." Griselda said coldly.
"Mhm, guild leader rescued the citizens from possible famine and saved their offspring from certain death. How could they not revere you?" Tie Longkung added.
"See, even this naive person understood," Griselda said.
She then turned to him and said, "No offense though."
"None taken, vice leader!"
"Heh, I guessed I'm really that famous then." Lei Zhen laughed awkwardly.
Being nearly shouted at by these two veteran players, what more could he argue?
The only main point that matters was the fact that he didn't have to pay a single dime for such a magnificent building.
"Anyway, I have finished recording the process and our mission for Yors Castle could be considered completed." Griselda suddenly changed the topic.
"You're right… with the capture of the black mage and the corrupted nobles being revealed now. We practically finished the storyline here." Lei Zhen agreed with her words.
"So when do you want me to edit the video and upload it to Prime Tv?" She then asked.
"Hmm, I'm not an expert in this, so I'll let you decide." Lei Zhen calmly said, not bothered by the fact that there was something he was incapable of.
Griselda rubbed her chin softly when Lei Zhen gave her the authority to decide.
After some pondering, Griselda decided to upload the video around this week.
"The events of Yors Castle are still garnering some headlines and news. Hence, if I suddenly published a long quality video of our guild doing the storyline, then we're guaranteed to gain a lot of viewers and followers." She said emotionlessly.
"I see," Lei Zhen nodded his head and asked Tie Longkun, "What about you? Do you have any opinions?"
Tie Longkun shrugged his shoulders in response.
"I'll listen to whatever you decide. I'm just a wandering swordsman, so I don't know what to say." He laughed heartily.
Seeing his nonchalant response, Lei Zhen kind of expected it from him.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmTie Longkun rarely had any opinion about anything and would just follow the flow.
"Anyway, I guess that's decided then. Griselda would do the editing and uploading whenever she wants. As for Tie Longkun, you can go ahead and roam around Lux Forest." Lei Zhen assigned.
Griselda nodded her head.
"Alright then, I'm going to head to my room and log off to do those." She then said, walking to her designated room in the headquarters.
Meanwhile, Tie Longkun cheered excitedly since he didn't even bother responding to Lei Zhen as he rushed out of the building, clearly preparing himself for an onslaught to hone his swordsman skills.
And seeing that, Lei Zhen could only shiver slightly as he thanked himself for not choosing the swordsman class.
'If every swordsman has a brain cell and an IQ of negative numbers, then I will never touch a sword again in my life.' He thought to himself.
Sometime later, Lei Zhen decided to leave the headquarters to return to his office in the Royal Palace.
Since he had decided to leave, he needed to finish any work left as a responsible chancellor.
However, during his return, Lei Zhen was shocked to see numerous nobles being detained by imperial guards.
The nobles that were captured were all cursing and bawling their tears out as they screamed they were innocent.
Alas, to those nobles that proclaimed innocence, the imperial guards would give them a kick to the stomach.
This ruthless action was met with praises and cheers from the citizens as they clapped their hands in joy.
Shaking his head, Lei Zhen felt zero empathy for these corrupted nobles.
"Instead of using your power for the greater good, you used it for your selfish means. In the end, what comes around goes around." He murmured.
