Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAlex was happy with the five skills as they covered his weaknesses and also gave him strong attacks that could be used against both large groups and a single really tough opponent.
All of the skills had great effects, but they would truly shine under the effects of the Ruler Pride, as the 'Crown of Emptiness' will beccapable of blocking almost all negative effects under the Elemental Ruler Rank.
While at the Sixth Rank, the Chaotic Nexus and Black Hole would be capable of recking untold devastation, and the Dark Dominion would allow Alex to affect the emotions of his target, one thing that distinguished between a fool and a great combatant.
Each skill's effects were self-explanatory, with the only slightly confusing effect being that of the Reaper's Contract skill that, if used correctly, could change the track of the battle but, if not, then could cause Alex to suffer an early death.
Once the contract was established, Alex would be given a random tanywhere from sixty to three hundred seconds, and in that time, he needed to do more damage to his target than he received, and if he was successful, then the Reaper would deliver an attack doubling the damage and if he not then he would suffer from the sfate.
'I have more than thirty-seven thousand skill points left, and while I could use them to upgrade a few of my skills, I think it best that I save them for the future because most of my talents are becoming obsolete in tough battles and making them a bit stronger would not help them make more useful,' Alex thought, as he closed all the system windows except the one showing his updated stats.
'It looks like a few thousand is all I can get, even with a perfect mana body, but seeing my stats are practically on the road to touch the stat restriction without any major help, I should be thankful for what I am given,' Alex thought, as he examined the stats.
Alex's new stats were all crossing the mark of 165K, with his lowest stat being his agility at 165.16K and his highest stat being intelligence, crossing the mark of 181K without the 17% boost from his pieces of equipment.
Alex Devourer's skill was a gchanger, as it allowed him to double his base stats without doing anything besides hunting creatures, but even it hit its absolute limits once the stats crossed the 80K mark, so it was left to be seen if he could push the boundaries.
The mark of 400K should be the absolute limit that Alex could reach at the end of Sixth Rank, but there were records of few figures breaking past the limit, yet each individual to do it did so because of a very rare and unreplicable reason.
So maybe Alex could join their ranks or maybe not, but in both cases, he couldn't care less because stats were only a part of the individual strength once he entered the realm of the Elemental Rulers.
There were no real changes to his stat window besides the class-specific skill receiving a boost from the upgrade, so after going over everything, Alex closed the stats window and got prepared to test out his new talents in action and also feel the difference in managing the two elemental manipulations.
The following hour was spent testing the talents in the illusion simulation, and both the skills were as good as he expected them to be, while the old skills also carried a punch, especially once pushed to the Sixth Rank.
After four hours, Alex was done with everything, and right then, he received a notice from Varon that the Emperor had regained consciousness.
So, without a moment wasted, Alex jumped through the portal and went to the lab of Guardian Elmara, eager to discover anything the Emperor knew about the Demon's plan, or at least bring him back and do sreal work rather than wait for something to happen.
