31. You’ve Gone Too Far

Frank shoved his hands in his pockets and leaned forward. “I’m not taking away your freedom. You

yourself use it to ensure your safety. After all, you get double compensation for those overtime hours.

Do you still think it’s not enough?”

flirtatious man.”

Kara took a deep breath and shook her head slowly. She had promised herself not to be influenced by

her boss’s words again.

“Secretary? Are you sure that I am really a secretary? You’re still restricting my access in your

company, Sir. It is illogical if you are afraid that my performance will worsen because in the reality, my

abilities are not needed in Savior.”

Frank snorted again. “Nonsense.”

“I said it as it is. Rather than a secretary, I am more like a toy for your to relieve boredom.”

Frank’s breath hitched. His expression turned tense. He just realized that Kara’s eyes were starting to

fill with tears. The girl must have been unable to hold back her annoyance.

“I never thought of you that way. You’re quite a capable secretary. Even though you often cause

problems, you do all your tasks well. Some of the reports you made were also quite helpful.”

“Then, please give me some leeway. Leaving before sunrise and coming home late at night is very

smiled crookedly at it then pocketed the phone.

“Your phone is confiscated until the collaboration project with Ben’s company is completed. I’ll buy a

new one instead.”

Kara’s eyes grew wider. She couldn’t let that happen. There were many photos of her with the twins in

the gallery. Frank could just check it out for fun. The identity of the twins could be revealed.

“That can’t be the case, Sir. There is a lot of important data and personal documentation on that phone.

If you confiscate it, it’s the same as theft,” Kara explained with round eyes. She had forgotten the

debate about freedom. The most important thing now was to protect

Frank gasped. ‘The one she called ‘Honey’ is her mother?’

After a moment of silence, he laughed dryly. He just realized that half of his jealousy was unfounded.

‘As I thought, an annoying woman like Kara can’t possibly have a boyfriend. No one will want to target

her other than Ben.’

While Philip was away on assignment, Frank called a number on his personal cell phone.

“Good afternoon, Mister Harper. Chocomania Factory is here. Anything we can help?”

“Yes, I want to order all the best chocolate varieties in your kitchen. Package them beautifully and

deliver them here immediately.”



“Okay, Sir.”

After hanging up the phone, Frank smiled slightly. He couldn’t wait to see Kara’s reaction when she

saw his gift later.

As soon as she hung up the phone, Kara’s smile immediately faded. Louis and Emily had just reported

that they had finished eating and were going to take a nap. They also talked about the books that

would be studied at Savior Kindergarten.

Emily loved that it was mostly a coloring book. She even asked Kara to immediately buy colored

pencils, while Louis wanted a drawing book.
