Chapter 298
“This is the news regarding a child being kidnapped from an orphanage. I searched for a long time before finding it.
Do you have any memory of it?”
“Let me take a look.” Felicia put on her glasses and took the newspaper from Angeline. As she read it, her
expression turned grim, and a hint of sorrow flashed across her face. “I remember this article, but it didn't happen
at this orphanage.”
“Could you tell me more specifically? This matter is crucial to me,” Angeline pleaded.
Seeing how sincere she was, Felicia let out a sigh and answered resignedly. “That child was around two years old
back then. I don't know what happened, but he was abandoned at the back of the mountains. Unfortunately, a
criminal gang saw him and took him away in their car.”
Angeline frowned and hurriedly retrieved Sebastian's childhood photo from her folder.
“Take a look at this. Is this the kid who got kidnapped back then?”
After examining it, Felicia showed no sign of recognition.
“I'm not sure. The kid who got kidnapped didn't stay in this orphanage.”
Angeline's head started throbbing, and she swallowed a lump in her throat. “He didn't stay here?”
“Yes. One of our chefs here went to pluck some vegetables from the mountain early in the morning and saw that
scene when she was returning. She said she wanted to bring that kid here, but she was scared when she saw the
intimidating gang. We didn't interact with that kid and only called the police,” Felicia said.
Seeing the bemused look on Felicia's face. Angeline was finally sure she was telling the truth.

I remember Joseline told me that after the man I had a one-night stand with realized that I gave birth to a child, he
wanted to dispose of my child, but she found out coincidentally and saved the child by sending him to an
orphanage. But in the end. the child got lost. However, after verifying, I now know that Joseline had lied to me! If
Sebastian is a child they forced me to take care of, what about the DNA records in the hospital? Who is behind it
all?
Numerous questions regarding Sebastian flooded her mind, and she felt her blood run cold.
Only now did she realize that perhaps there was also someone else who knew the truth. This matter was not as
simple as she had thought.
After saying goodbye to Felicia, Angeline got into the car with Jonathan.
He turned on the ah conditioner, and the gust of cool air calmed her a little.
“Have some water,” Jonathan offered, retrieving a bottle of mineral water from the drawer of the car and handing
it to her. “Since you now know the truth, don't overthink it. Your speculations may not be accurate and will only
affect your mood.”
Angeline found some solace in his words, and after taking a sip of water, she said, “Thank you for today. I
probably... have to ask you for another favor.”
“Go ahead.”
“I want to meet Ms. Carden, who abducted Sebastian.”
“No problem,” Jonathan replied relaxedly.
He placed his arm on the steering wheel and casually tapped it with his fingers.
“But now that tilings are in such a state, we can confirm that Joseline lied to—”
“I think what you should suspect most now is the DNA report. Did you encounter any strange things or people when
you went to the hospital to get the test report?”
Angeline's muddled mind slowly cleared up when she heard Jonathan's words.
Funowing her brows, she contemplated for a while before exclaiming, “Yes! I went to get the report with Nancy, but
the elevator broke down, so we climbed the stairs. I remember she told me that she saw someone who looked like
Olivine!”
Jonathan did not respond and only gave her a meaningful glance.
Realization dawned upon Angeline.
Back then, I thought Nancy's eyes were playing tricks on her. Plus, I was focused on the results of the report, so I
didn't think much about it. Now that I think about it, howr can there be such a coincidence? Unless Olivine wras
really at the hospital!
Goosebumps appearing on her skin, Angeline said through gritted teeth, “I will check the surveillance footage. If
they messed with the DNA. I would never let them off!”
Her eyes were filled with hatred.
After all, she had spent so long trying to find her child's whereabouts.
Nowr that she had finally seen hope, she suddenly realized that she had been fooled by two women all along.
Naturally, she could not forgive them.
Jonathan sat aside silently, and a calculative glint flashed in liis eyes when he saw the hateful look on Angeline's
face.

“It's not difficult to find Joseline. I believe she's hiding somewhere nearby. She cares about Hanson and Sorelie
Group, and you can start by dealing with the former first,” he suggested casually.
Angeline was not foolish. She immediately understood that Jonathan wanted her to mess with Hanson.
This is wrhy he's been helping me! But last time on the cruise ship, he has already schemed against Hanson, which
made the latter lose most of his connections. Yiurk Group is also not doing as well as before. Yet, he still refuses to
let Hanson off!
Gradually, Angeline recomposed herself and gazed at Jonathan, her eyes darkening.
“Actually, I don't understand why you despise Hanson so much. I thought he was a tactful man. He couldn't have
confr onted you head-on.”
“You don't understand,” Jonathan muttered as he tightened liis grip on the steering wheel.
“Have you heard that the son should pay for liis father's debts? His family owres my family a life. If not for them, we
wouldn't have been treated with disdain by everyone.”
Angeline was speechless, and her eyes wrent wide as she tried to process the information.
A life? What a serious dispute between the two families.
Before Angeline could voice her questions, Jonathan slammed on the accelerator, and the car sped off like a bullet.
“All! You're crazy!” she screamed in terror.
The car was going at top speed, and she could no longer see the sights along the road. All she heard was the
howling of the wind.
Frightened, Angeline squeezed her eyes shut and cowered against the passenger seat, not daring to move.
After some time, the car gradually slowed down.
