Alex closed his eyes for a second before he ordered his spirit. "Can anyone cut its belly? There should be a round ball inside there with the size of a normal human head, so be careful when you cut it open."
Jeanne walked toward the wolf after listening to his order, opening the wolf's stomach with her short sword. Her movement was fast but precise. As expected from a master of torture, she knew exactly where she should open it. She had been training so hard this whole time to know all monsters and races anatomy, so she would be the perfect person for this job.
After cutting some parts, the wolf's flesh started glowing, signifying there was something shining behind that. Jeanne knew this was the thing and cut it carefully to avoid scratching it.
Alex watched how this pink round crystal slowly got extracted by Jeanne. Checking the ball with his Spirit Eyes, he understood the characteristic of the Space Element surrounding it. This was the culmination of what the Space God had when he was alive. The Space Destroyer Wolf couldn't swallow the entire energy due to the difference between principle and other things.
"I see… Despite not being able to absorb this crystal ball entirely, the wolf became strong enough to learn the techniques along with its understanding." He muttered to himself, walking closer to Jeanne.
"Master. This is the Space Ball… Or should I say, Memory Crystal?" Jeanne handed him the glowing crystal to him.
Alex nodded and smiled. "Thank you, Jeanne."
"Alex, what are we going to do now? Since we have used three months, if we calculate how long we need to get inside this place, I think we only have three months to do this…" Anya whispered and glanced at the spirits.
"I don't think we need to pick a fight with those Gods and Goddesses. I mean, we can cultivate there since the Spiritual Energy is denser there. As for you guys, there is no change of plan, so I think it's fine if you go to the surface."
"Yeah. I don't want to be stuck in here for three months when we can do many things." Anya nodded and added inwardly.
Firia smiled from the sideline, knowing why the spirits helped him this much. She thought, "They must want the progress goes smoothly and as quickly as possible. This way, Alex will reach God Stage and go to Eulja.'
On the other hand, Alex only acknowledged her intention. "I will leave the surface's matters in your hands. Also, please make sure there are no Fire God Clan when we leave this place. You can coordinate with Neon since I have tasked him personally."
"I understand. Then we can leave all of you here." Anya nodded before thinking something. "That's right. I think it's better to go to Rose. She is already a Martial Monarch, so I think I will try teaching her a few things, including our affairs. And when you return to the base, you can ask her if she wants to learn in Freedom Sect."
Alex thought for a moment and felt it was a good idea. "Alright. I think Ngina will summon you and head to the Heavenly Continent with the Teleportation Stone?"
"That's my plan."
"I don't have anything to say to her at the moment. Maybe I will just say it to her directly after I return."
"Sure." Anya nodded, took out Ngina's card, and talked for a minute. She then signaled everyone to get ready as they bowed.
Alex also waved his hand, watching them disappear. He then looked at Firia and the others. "We are going back to the main tower and cultivate there. Seeing all of you are at the peak of 1-Star Martial Saint. I think we can use these three months to reach 3-Star Martial Saint… As for me, I will probably only reach 2-Star since I need to absorb this."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"We understand." They nodded.
Alex then made a Spatial Gate to the portal before closing all the Spatial Gate inside this Space World. He made sure that he didn't miss a single Spatial Gate.
After checking one more time, he headed back to the original portal and activated it, signaling someone outside to open the sealed gate.
Not long after, Shakdi opened the gate again with a shocked expression. He never thought that Alex really did it and looked at the glowing crystal on his hand.
"Congratulations for clearing this place, and thank you very much." Shakdi immediately bowed to him politely.
The other Gods and Goddesses also noticed their appearance and quickly came to them to give their thanks as well.
Alex smiled. "Well, everything is fine. Though I wish you can inform me that there was a Space Destroyer Wolf inside this place."
"Space Destroyer Wolf?" Shakdi and the others were dumbfounded as if they didn't know anything about this.
"Yeah. It's a 3-Star Martial Saint with the power of 5-Star and equipped with your understanding in Space Element. It was a hard fight." Alex nodded with a serious expression.
The group was stunned by his statement. Obviously, they knew about the Space Destroyer Wolf, but they didn't know it resided inside this place.
"It's the parent monster for this realm. Don't you know about it?" Alex tilted his head in confusion.
Shakdi let out a sigh, disappointed in himself, and answered. "I am sorry. We didn't know anything about it. We only got help, and everything was sealed inside. We didn't know which one was their parents."
"Well, it's already ended, but you might want to warn the future generations that might solve this problem for you to be careful." Alex nodded.
"We understand and will surely inform them before going inside." Shakdi nodded furiously, not wanting to make such a mistake again.
"Since I have finished the task, I can take this, right?" Alex asked, raising the ball in his hand.
"Of course. That is a memory crystal. I have put everything I know in that crystal, so if your excellency absorbs the energy, I will be honored." Shakdi stretched his hand, letting Alex have it. "Besides, I don't think that is enough, and I am sure that the others will also give you more rewards. Please don't reject this."
Alex tilted his head in confusion as he listened to what Shakdi had to say.
"Since we can't really give you a Divine Tool, whether it's a weapon or any other things because it will disrupt the balance of this world. We should be able to give you many rank 8 items. After all, our strength is not enough to seal a portion of the Divine Tools' strength to camouflage it as a rank 8 item just like the little mistress has," Shakdi said while glancing over Firia's shawl.
Alex thought for a moment and glanced at Firia, who nodded her head. "I understand. We will gladly receive it. And if possible, we want to use this tower to cultivate. Is that fine with all of you?"
"Of course. This place has been getting richer and richer. We can even make a rank 8 Gathering Array for you to reach 2-Star if not 3-Star Martial Saint."
"I will take that offer then."
"Sure. Please follow me to where we store our weapons." He stretched his hand as if telling him to go together.
Alex and the others followed him before finding a thick wooden door. When they came inside, Alex picked a few items that he fancied. Firia, Stina, Sherry, and Kyle also took what they wanted. The Gods and Goddesses were pleased with this because Alex and his group really did a big favor for them.
"We are thankful for the items." Alex smiled.
"No, no. The pleasure is ours." Shakdi shook his hand. "Let me guide you to your room here. I am sure Rin has made five rank 8 Gathering Arrays for you."
Although Shakdi was confused when he didn't see Alex's companion, he knew they were still alive since he had heard how the Spirit God behaved. If this young man didn't even shed tears for his comrades, there was no way the Spirit God would take him in. Seeing Alex acted normal like this, he must have teleported them somewhere.
Alex knew what he was thinking and answered. "I have sent them outside this Ancient Battlefield. Unfortunately, I can only do so with them alone, not the ones with me right now."
Shakdi's face became red. As expected from someone who got chosen by the Spirit God, his perception was something.
"That's right. I have questions for you." Alex asked while glancing at the Gods and Goddesses.
"Please ask."
"How is the situation out there? I mean, you should be able to observe whatever inside this place, right? Not the tower, but the entire trial."
"Yes. We have seen everything. There are ten challengers like usual. However, only five people managed to get inside this tower, together with their companions. They are training inside the tower right now, and some of us are there to supervise their training."
"May I know who they are?"
"They have introduced themselves as Evelyn, Angela, Elizabeth, Julius, and Song Ling'er."
Alex furrowed his eyebrows. "What happened to the others then?"
"They are outside the tower. Usually, they will only be able to cultivate barely for one star, but they pass that limit easily because you have killed many monsters outside and nourish this tower's Spiritual Energy. Of course, I don't think I have seen anyone that surpass 1-Star."
Alex nodded. "Is that so… How about the five inside this place?"
"They are pretty good, especially one person. If I need to rank them here, the first will be Evelyn, followed by Elizabeth, Song Ling'er, Angela, and Julius. As for their progress, only Evelyn has mastered a peak Heaven Rank Martial Art while the others are still trying to comprehend it. As much as we want to give Divine Technique, we still have our own rule."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAlex nodded. "I understand. I don't have any more questions."
"Let me guide you to your room then." Shakdi nodded and walked for a few minutes before they arrived at a spacious room filled with arrays.
Alex and the others entered the room before Shakdi left them alone.
…
In the Northern Continent.
Ngina summoned the spirits after leaving Rose's side. He then cupped his hands and bowed to them.
Anna smiled and greeted him. "It's been a while, Ngina. How are you and Rose?"
"We are fine, Mistress. Rose is cultivating right now. Do you want me to wake her up?"
"Sure. We want to have a long talk with her, and I think she will be happy with this." She nodded. Before Ngina disappeared, Anna added. "I have the best news for you. Alex has gotten the Spirit Crown."
Ngina widened his eyes and dropped his jaw as he couldn't say anything.
"That is true. I know that you are shocked as we were, but can you call Rose here?" Anna smiled, patting Ngina's shoulder.
"I-I understand." Ngina repeatedly nodded as he disappeared with excitement.
Suddenly, Nelson halted his step and said, "I will leave first."
"Nelson?" Anna tilted his head in confusion. "Why are you in a hurry? Isn't it fine to talk with Rose first?"
It was at this time that Anya understood Nelson's thought as she gasped. "Are you…"
"Yes. I have several things to do. If you don't mind, can you tell Master that I can't be summoned later and don't say anything to him for the time being?"
The group was confused, not understanding what Nelson wanted to do. However, the shocked expression on Anya's face gave them a feeling it was something big. They didn't have any complaints though, since Nelson always worked to the bone in the dark for Alex, and this must be one of those things he always did.
"I understand. The N Squad has been covering the whole Heavenly Continent anyway, so it's fine to do your own things." Anya gave confirmation.
"Thank you." Nelson clasped his hand and disappeared, heading somewhere else.
Anya then let out a long sigh before saying. "Let's go inside first."
