Chapter 1150 Don't Let Her Sacrifice Become Meaningless
The private room was soundproof. After closing the door, they could not hear the noise outside.
Bert sized up the young man with his body stiff and his eyes glaring angrily for a moment. After a while, he stood up
and suddenly walked towards Henry. His steps were steady, and his expensive leather shoes made crisp sounds on
the ground, "clack, clack," with an invisible pressure.
Henry watched as Bert got closer and closer to him. The closer he got to him, the more obvious his powerful aura
became. When Bert brushed past Henry's shoulder, Henry held his breath.
Bert gently glanced at him, walked to the wall, and turned on all the lights in the private room.
The dim private room immediately became bright. If it weren't for the deep purple-red, perhaps no one would have
thought this was a private bar room.
"Does your mother know that you're here to work?" After doing all this, Bert stood back in front of Henry and asked

At the mention of Romy, Henry panicked, "Don't tell her!"
"If I were to tell her, the person who came to find you today wouldn't be me."
Looking at the man in front of him, who seemed to handle everything effortlessly no matter what he said, Henry
couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Perhaps deep down inside, he didn't want the man his sister loved to see him
doing this kind of job.
Seeing that he slowly lowered his head and stopped talking, Bert said seriously, "Do you know how your sister made
money to support your studies in the past?"
The young man lowered his head, and his voice seemed to come from the back of his head. "I know."
Bert snorted. "You don't know."
After saying that, he put away the ease on his face and frowned, "She once sold various products in the bar for you
and your mother, being looked down upon by men and teased by so-called customers. If she finds out that her
hard-earned and nurtured little brother is doing these things in the bar, would she be happy?"
Henry didn't expect him to say this. He raised his head in shock and asked, "What?"
Before, he had asked his sister about her work, whether she was tired, what kind of part-time jobs she did today,
and what she would do tomorrow. However, she never mentioned that she was working in a bar... a place like a
bar! Even he, as a young man, found it somewhat difficult to bear, let alone a girl.
In these few days, Henry had witnessed how men treated women when they drank too much. Just the thought that
his sister might have gone through similar experiences made tears well up in his eyes uncontrollably.
"She never said it. She never told me..."
"How did she tell you?" Bert revealed everything to him. "In front of you, she just wants to be a good sister. That's
all."
The strength that Henry had gathered in his body was suddenly drained. He slowly squatted down, covered his face
with both hands and cried silently.

environment." Bert stared at the trembling boy on the ground, hesitated for a moment, and then reached out to
pat his shoulder gently. "Henry, you need to live up to your sister's efforts. Don't let her sacrifices become
meaningless."
After hearing this, the crouching Henry's body stiffened noticeably for a moment.
Then, immediately after, Bert heard his voice, filled with nasal tones and somewhat muffled, "But I need money. I
want to wake my sister up..."
Bert's heart felt like it was pricked by a twig, aching and tingling. "I can help you. As long as you're willing, I won't
give up."
Upon hearing these words, Henry felt like he had released some burden, and all the emotions that had been
suppressed in his chest came rushing out. He clung to Bert's arm, unable to hold back his tears.
That night, Henry went out of the bar at two o'clock in the morning and was helped by Bert's men. He drank a lot,
spoke a lot of his mind, released, and got drunk.
At noon the next day, Henry changed into clean clothes and returned to the hospital. When he walked into the ward
and saw Romy's weary face, his first sentence was, "Mom, let's accept Mr. Harper's proposal."
