Chapter 1065 Ms. Graves Is Pretty
The three of them spent almost two hours playing at the arcade. When they came out, it was already dark outside.
Lucas seemed to still want to play, chattering non-stop about which games were fun and which ones were not. Bert,
on the other hand, no longer displayed his impatience and silently listened, although he didn't engage much in the
conversation.
Alivia found it quite fascinating that Bert, a man like him, could be subdued by a little boy. But then again, she
realized it might be because the child was Lucas, whom Bert cared for dearly as the son of his friend, Evelyn. Love
extends to all, so it explained why Bert was so protective.
If she hadn't witnessed it with her own eyes, it would be hard to believe that Bert could fall deeply in love with a
woman, especially one who already had a partner and a child, without expecting anything in return.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLost in thought, they had already returned to the hotel. For convenience, Bert took Lucas to the rooftop rotating
restaurant to have a meal
At first, Alivia didn't plan to join them, wanting to give them some private time together. However, Lucas insisted on
holding her hand and bringing her along.
Since the child didn't mind, Alivia relaxed and went to the restaurant with them.
She changed into a new outfit, wearing a white hoodie and light-colored jeans, with her hair neatly tied up, looking
exceptionally clean and tidy. After spending the afternoon together, Lucas had already grown accustomed to her
presence, and his initial formality had faded away.
"Ms. Graves, you're really beautiful," Lucas praised her countless times that day.
Perhaps it was so frequent that even Bert couldn't help but glance at her. She was dressed casually, with no
makeup on her face, and though her features were delicate, they weren't otherworldly.
He couldn't help but ask, "Do you really think she's beautiful?"
"That's right. Ms. Graves is young, pretty, and so fair. She's the most beautiful person I've ever seen, besides my
mom!" Lucas generously complimented.
Bert teased him, "What about your godmother?"
He hadn't forgotten how upset Grace looked when she saw the close interaction between Lucas and him.
If she knew that Lucas praised Alivia for her beauty, she would definitely be jealous again.
After contemplating for a moment, Lucas replied, "Godmother is godmother. It's different!" He certainly knew how
to talk.
Alivia didn't want to make things difficult for Lucas. She handed him the caramel pudding in front of her with a smile
and said, "Your favorite caramel pudding. Give it a try." "Thank you, Ms. Graves." Lucas scooped up a spoonful of
soup and put it into his mouth. As he ate, he did not forget to ask Bert, "Doesn't Mr. Harper also think that Ms.

Alivia was stunned for a moment and she subconsciously looked at the man sitting opposite her.
Hearing this, Bert's hand, which was cutting steak, paused, "Me?"
"Yeah."
"When did I say that?"
"You didn't," Lucas replied. With an air of 'I see through everything,' he swallowed the pudding in his mouth and
stared at the man beside him, "But if you don't find Ms. Graves beautiful, why would you be with her, Mr. Harper?
You're not that kind of person."
Bert and Alivia didn't know what to say.
What's the meaning that a grown child couldn't be controlled anymore? Now that's how it worked.
Alivia couldn't help but feel nervous as she watched as a bystander. Although she knew that children often spoke
without restraint, she couldn't shake off a faint sense of unease while observing Bert's stern expression. Her heart
raced out of order.
Thankfully, Bert didn't insult her directly; he just shot a sideways glance at the little troublemaker and said, "Behave
and eat your meal."
