Chapter 625 Accompanying Her All Night
No one could hear it, only herself, but Evelyn felt guilty that he had discovered her emotions.
After pondering for a moment, she lifted the quilt to cover her head and closed her eyes, not knowing
whether she was angry with him or not.
Just as Huston had said, he did not do anything. Beside the bed was a single bed used by the
caretaker. He was more than 1.8 meters tall and lying on it was depressing.
He put his strong arm on his chest. After so many years, it was the first time that he had been in the
same room with her.
They could touch each other at such a close distance. Even
though his face was calm, his heart was already in turmoil.
Huston tried to close his eyes. He could even smell the refreshing scent of her hair.
“This is the only time in the past five years that I’m not afraid of the night.”
The man’s deep voice was like a low note jumping into her
ears. Evelyn’s eyelashes fluttered a few times and she slowly opened her eyes. Her heart felt like it had

stone.
She didn’t speak, and her breathing was very light. When she heard him say these words, she always
felt so wronged that she wanted to cry. Even she didn’t understand why it was like this. Maybe she had
experienced too much, and every time she mentioned this relationship, her throat would ache.
They used to want to be together for the rest of their lives, but they didn’t want to end up like this.
Who could be blamed? Who?
Evelyn’s heart was empty. Other than helplessness, there was nothing else she could do.
“Why did you leave me?” He muttered softly as if he was asking her, but he didn’t dare to ask her.
Evelyn’s heart skipped a beat. She pursed her pink lips tightly, but she was calling out in her heart
because of Lucas, the child he didn’t know existed.
It was late at night, and everything was quiet. Both of them. were in a mess, but the ward was
ridiculously quiet.
After saying this, Huston did not pursue the matter any
further. He lay on the narrow bed. Although it was hard and small, he felt a sense of security that he
had never felt before.
After an unknown period, she heard his steady breathing. Evelyn knew that he was asleep.
She carefully pulled off the quilt from her head and moved her body according to the tiny size. It took
her five minutes to
turn around.
Fortunately, she didn’t wake him up.
Evelyn looked at Huston, who was sleeping next to her. He was almost the same as he had been five
years ago. His face was still so heroic, and his figure was not fat or out of shape. The only change was
his temperament, which was even more gloomy and indifferent than five years ago.
This was largely due to her departure.
In the past five years, he had not lived a good life.
Evelyn sighed silently and the fingers on the bed moved. Lucas looked like him. His eyes were not big,
but they were narrow
and long. Although his nose was not so straight, the tip of his
nose was very delicate. The man’s forehead was very plump, and the curve was just right. Lucas

mouth were bigger.
No one knew how she felt as she watched Lucas grow up day by day and become more and more like
him.
She worked so hard to earn money to give herself and her child a stable life. She hypnotized herself
that the child had nothing to do with her and that it was hers. However, every time she saw Lucas
eating quietly, she would always think of him.
Look, she had worked so hard to take care of the child. It was both hers and his. No matter how hard
she tried to deceive herself, half of the blood on Lucas belonged to this man.
Evelyn felt so wrong, but even after five years, she had never complained at all. She had never thought
of being an irresponsible mother.
If she hated him so much, how could she have kept this child? How could she have taken pains to take
care of him until today?
Evelyn didn’t know how long she had been thinking and how many tears she had shed. She just looked
at him and didn’t close her eyes until dawn.
