Chapter 433 Follow Me to My Office
“Mr. Lane, what are you doing?” Mabel’s voice trembled with
anger.
Hearing her words, Kevin calmed down. He looked at her with displeasure in her eyes and sarcastically
said, “Is it abnormal for me to manage my employees? What do you think I’m going to do? Do you think
I held you back and asked you to stay for some personal reasons?”
Mabel did think so, so when she heard what Kevin said, her fair face immediately turned red.
She looked at the person in front of her with embarrassment and thought of his ruthless criticism that
day. She couldn’t
help but retort, “I don’t know why you need an unprofessional
doctor!”
In the end, this statement was what hurt her the most and
made her feel sad.
It only took a moment for Kevin to recall the unpleasantness of that day. He narrowed his eyes, and his
eyes dimmed slightly. Hearing her words, his mood improved a bit. The fact that she

And she cared about him.
In that instant, when the thought rushed into Kevin’s mind, his heart started to beat rapidly. Over the
years, he had been indifferent to life and death, let alone romantic feelings. This palpitation he was
experiencing now was something he was even unaccustomed to.
The next moment, Kevin suddenly let go of her hand and inserted his hand into his pocket. “Follow me
to my office,” he
said.
After that, he walked straight forward without looking at her.
Mabel stood still, refusing to move, and waited for him to walk away as if she were being stubborn. The
way he walked with long strides and a breezy demeanor irritated her.
“If you don’t follow me, you don’t have to come to work
tomorrow.”
Mabel widened her eyes in disbelief. She had never expected that one day, Kevin would use his
position to take personal revenge. She gritted her teeth. Although she was unwilling, she could only
follow him quickly.
After entering the office, Kevin was not in a hurry to sit down. Instead, he stood at the door and waited
for her. Mabel almost bumped into his chest as soon as she entered the door.
So close… Mabel gritted her teeth and knew that he had done it on purpose. She suppressed her
anger and said, “Please get out of the way, Mr. Lane.”
Kevin lowered his eyes and carefully observed her expression. Just when Mabel was about to give in,
he slowly moved aside, creating space for her to come in.
However, even if he moved away, they were still very close to each other. When Mabel walked past
him, his arm inevitably rubbed against her body.
Mabel didn’t even dare to look at where he had rubbed against her, and she entered the office with a
red face.
With a click, the door closed. Mabel had entered this office countless times, but at this time, she felt
uncomfortable.
Mabel stood in front of the desk like a soldier waiting for an interrogation. Even she did not know why
she would be so nervous. She just felt that everything that happened today was abnormal, and the

was strange.

Finally, unable to withstand Kevin’s piercing gaze, Mabel felt as if she would burn if she didn’t speak
up. Her voice trembled as she asked, “Mr. Lane, why did you call me here? What’s the
matter?”
To her surprise, Kevin walked to the leather swivel chair in front of her and sat down. He raised his
eyebrows slightly and looked at her calmly. “What do you think it’s about?”
What did she think? What else could she say?
Mabel took a deep breath and tried her best to keep calm. “Mr. Lane, you asked me to come here, so
it’s not like I have something to discuss with you. Shouldn’t you be the one to tell me the purpose?” she
replied.
She kept calling him Mr. Lane, but it sounded harsh to Kevin. He felt that she was deliberately drawing
a clear line between
them.
