Chapter 878: You Suck at This…
The figure frowned as he looked at Lyon’s current form. He suddenly found himself in a one versus four situation, despite having three pairs of wings to show off against the mortal.
“What’s wrong? You seem to be a bit intimidated by this,” Lyon smirked.
“Hm?! Don’t be ridiculous! Do you think your form can intimidate the likes of me? Looks like you mortals really forgot the courtesy against that of a higher being!”
“A higher being?” Lyon rubbed the canal of his ear with a finger before looking at the booger that was never at the tip of his finger, then blew it out. He looked at the Seraphim Realm Cultivator in front of him with a smirk. “You think you’re a higher being? Are you sure? Just because you have three pairs of wings?”
“You ignorant fool, do you have any idea what a Seraphim Cultivator means?”
“Nope,” Lyon shrugged. “I don’t care if you are a Seraphim or a gargantuan orc, in my eyes, you are all the same. Proclaiming to be a higher being but you meddle in a nonsense matter like stopping me. What the fuck did I ever do to you? I’m here on a personal matter, why would a higher being like you would stop me?”
“Such foul mouth,” the figure muttered. “You killed those three Daemons, now you have to face me.”
“That’s the most generic line I’ve ever heard out of a villain so far,” Lyon sighed. “Why would a higher being such as yourself be here in the first place? A continent of the Mortal World that’s quite desolate and far away from the access to First Heaven. Don’t you think that’s quite suspicious.”
“Hmph! It seems like you have a sharp mind,” said the Seraphim Cultivator before he smirked. “Do you want to know the truth? I can grant you that information since you’re going to die anyway.”
“Oh?” Lyon raised his brows, “Killing me here? Now, what makes you think that you can do that?”
“Heh, hahaha!” The figure laughed exorbitantly. “Killing you will be like slaughtering chickens! Do you think a mere True God cultivator could handle a Seraphim? The majority of your people didn’t know the realm existed!”
“What makes you think that I’m in the majority? Do you see anyone else like me?” asked Lyon as he shrugged.
“Me!”
“Hey me too!”
“Yup, yup that’s me!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Hey me!”
The four clones answered before all five laughed all together.
“Y-You! Imbecile!” the figure released a burst of his aura.
“Hey, hey, calm down,” said Lyon nonchalantly. “You said you’re gonna explain what’s going on, here, or are you changing your mind?”
“Shut up!”
“Oof, I thought you’re a higher being, to think that higher beings are too proud, to tell the truth, even to a certain-death mortal,” Lyon shrugged as he sighed disappointingly, before being followed by the four clones.
“Tch!” the Seraphim Cultivator furrowed his brows ( This one is really getting on my nerves! ). “Enough chit-chat!”
“Hey, how about a deal?” Lyon put his hands behind his head before crossing his legs as he leaned back. “Since you’re from a higher realm than me, probably I don’t know, three-four realms? I have no idea just like what you said earlier. Then how about giving me a chance to strike first, or at least give me a handicap, come on, you won’t fight an ant with a meteor would you?”
“I have never seen such a shameless person like you, but then again, you are a mortal.”
Lyon shrugged. “There is no merit in being prideful if you’re in a corner.”
The Seraphim Cultivator smirked. “Heh! Such is mortal, you’re shameless beyond salvation, even in death, you would cower in fear rather than fighting for what you believe in! Thus why you would never reach a greater height of cultivation! Thus why you will never reach Paradise!”
“Man, you don’t need to lecture me about that, I mean, I’m not the one that orchestrated mortal’s obliviation in the Dark Continent,” Lyon snorted.
Lyon caught his opponent’s eyes widened opened as the gap between each breath widened.
“So you knew,” the Seraphim deepened his voice as well as his presence. “Then all the more reason that you should die right now.”
“Oh, are you not going to ask me how did I figure out your motive?” asked Lyon as he and the other four smirked.
“Is there someone else that knew about this?”
“You think I would tell? Woah, you really suck at this, c’mon, be creative a bit,” Lyon laughed before the Seraphim finally flashed himself forward. Their eyes met one another, a murderous one versus a fool one.
A fist swept inside from the Seraphim Cultivator against Lyon’s abdomens as the crack of his armor was heard. Lyon’s body arched before he spits out blood with his eyes widened.
“Pathetic,” the Seraphim Cultivator whispered before hacking down Lyon’s back with clasped hands.
Lyon’s body plunged into the ground before making a crater.
“Hey!” one of the clones started fighting back.
“You think a mere clone can stop me, then come! I will erase you with a finger,” said the Seraphim Cultivator before he dodged an incoming attack from a blindspot. “Pathetic mortal, you are perhaps a clone, but your instinct is nothing more than a beast.”
The Seraphim Cultivator trusted his finger against the clone’s neck before grabbing another one with his other hand. “Ants, pretty much so.”
“You bastard!” The third one joined in the fray before getting his abdomen kicked. “Guha!”
The Seraphim threw the two clones to the last one before his brows furrowed. ( They are nothing but doppelgangers and I expected no blood, yet, how are they still here despite getting wounded? Even after I dipped my finger with mana ).
“Hehehe, why are you frowning? Surprised that we’re still here?” one of the clones raised smirked.
“Hey look, I got a hole in my neck, damn, it’s really weird breathing like this.”
“Hey, why don’t you try drinking water, you might ooze out hahaha!”
“HAHAHA!” the clones laughed despite the amorous situation they were in.
“Hmph!” The Seraphim frowned but looked down to see Lyon cross his arms with dried blood on the corner of his lips. “I won’t settle things playing with these four.”
“Hey, hey, you look so angry old man, want to try to ease up a bit and go to a brothel with me?” Lyon smirked before taunting him with his hand.
“It seems like that is not an ordinary blessing,” said the Seraphim before his eyes sharpened. A glint of light permeated before he stood at the opposite end of the four clones. Lyon could see himself in the blade that made a sudden appearance in the Seraphim Cultivator’s hand.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe four clones puffed into smoke in an instant and caught Lyon’s frown.
“It seems like you’re getting serious here,” said Lyon before finding the Seraphim hovering down and standing against him.
“Your strength is quite absurd for a mortal dweller,” said the Seraphim to Lyon’s surprise.
“Oh? What’s this, change of heart?” Lyon smirked.
“Tell me all you know, and I will grant you a quick death, Paradise’s words,” said the Seraphim Cultivator.
“Quick death,” Lyon answered without hesitation. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ɴovelFɪre.net
The Seraphim cultivator raised his brows, “You rather die a slow death than sell your own kin? What about what you said earlier, I thought pride yields no merit when you’re at a corner.”
Lyon shrugged before he lunged himself forward.
“Fool, you’re too slow in my eyes,” the Seraphim smirked. “The extend of you stops here, eventually I will get your friends too at a corner, Paradise is absolute.”
The Seraphim Cultivator bent the space as he moved with the blade.
“?!” Lyon’s eyes opened wide before the sword pierced his armor and body. The breath inside his lung was taken away as his feet left the ground.
“You are outclassed, mortal dweller. You realized that you can’t run, so you chose to die admirably, sad. Nobody is going to know how you die, except the words coming out of my lips when they trembled, begging for their pathetic life. What can you hope to achieve, you’re A True God Cultivator and I’m a Seraph Cultivator, I need not a single trick to kill you,” said the Seraph Cultivator with a smirk.
“Guha!” Lyon coughed out.
The Seraph Cultivator had his eyes wide open.
“Oops!! Heh, no blood,” said ‘Lyon’ before he gave the mighty being, the dweller of Paradise, his middle finger before he puffed into a cloud of smoke. The sets of armor fell to a thud along with the banner, and the headdress before slowly dissolving into bits of light.
The smirk from the Seraphim Cultivator vanished before the veins on his temple pulsed greatly.
…
“There! I can see it!” Lyon grinned as he ran past the vast meadow. A broken and abandoned city was at the view of the horizon, where the twin towers emerged.
