Chapter 680
It took her two hours to come to terms with Erlinda’s death.
She had just parted ways with Erlinda not long ago.
She had a splitting headache. One moment she felt angry, the next she was helpless.
Then she remembered the letter Erlinda left behind, guessing that Erlinda had already made up her mind when she
wrote it.
Maja’s fingers were trembling.
That’s what happened when she’s all worked up.
She couldn’t think straight anymore and quickly found the last recording which Erlinda wanted to delete but in the
end was unable to.
But as Erlinda’s body was still warm, her fingers just wouldn’t press the play button.
Just as she was about to put her phone away, Nolan Smith walked up with a sorrowful look on his face.
“Penny.”
Nolan sighed, even clutching his chest.
“Professor Smith.”
Nolan nodded and let out another deep sigh.

“Yes.”
“Do you have Erlinda’s scripts?”
“Yes.”
“Erlinda was always the cream of the crop in the industry. I want to give these scripts back to her parents as her
mementos. It should bring them some comfort.” Maja sneered inside. The body wasn’t even cold, and this guy was
already itching for the scripts.
She had always suspected Nolan, and now she was even more certain.
“Professor Smith, these scripts were given to me by Erlinda, and I have her written letter as proof. Since they were
given to me, they are mine. No one has the right to take them back.”
Nolan didn’t expect that Erlinda had left a written letter.
He was livid. Erlinda’s sudden suicide had caused him a lot of trouble. Now Erlinda had left behind scripts which,
given her talent, were bound to become hits.
He gritted his teeth in secret but didn’t dare to express his anger for now. It seemed he could only let Erlinda’s
parents come and claim them.
When Maja left the Skyrim Film Academy, her fingers were still trembling.
She tried to control herself, then carefully listened to the recording.
Only a few brief lines of dialogue were recorded, but it was enough to understand what Nolan had done to Erlinda
Thinking back to her own experience in college, she felt utterly disgusted!
And to think that Erlinda’s father trusted Nolan so much, completely unaware of what his daughter had went
through at school.
Perhaps because they were both women, Maja could empathize.
She was so angry that she turned pale, her hands clenched tightly.
To make Nolan pay for his actions was Erlinda’s last wish and that was the price for those three scripts.
Meanwhile, Nolan had found Erlinda’s parents.
Both were crying so hard that they could hardly breathe. Erlinda’s mother was blaming her father. Erlinda’s father
was full of regret, wishing he had been more patient.
Nolan approached them, “Erlinda may have argued with you because of those scripts. She’s an adult now and
doesn’t need me to review her scripts anymore. Maybe it’s because of your lack of trust that she did this.”
Jean was crying too hard to speak. Feynman was stuttering.
“Where are the scripts? They belonged to our daughter. We must get them back.”
Nolan smirked secretly. He couldn’t care less about Erlinda’s life or death. After all, there would be many more
students like Erlinda in the future.
What he wanted most now were those scripts. They were potential hits, after all.

Feynman immediately noted down the number, then started crying again.
Nolan was annoyed. These parents were so foolish, trusting a stranger over their own child, not even willing to
listen to their child’s explanation.
They always wanted to assert authority over their child, but they were so submissive when dealing with outsiders.
Most parents wanted to maintain absolute authority over their children, not realizing that this only bred a timid
personality in them.
Nolan knew this kind of family too well. That was exactly why poor Erlinda didn’t dare to tell anyone what he had
done to her.
He felt smug. Erlinda wasn’t the first student like this.
Another student had been diagnosed with depression and dropped out of school because of his torture.
Nolan always used the same tactics.
Students from such families were timid and would hardly resist. When they were violated, they were just scared.
They were like lambs to the slaughter in the face of violation by others.
He had once gotten satisfaction and some good scripts from another female student.
That girl couldn’t handle the pressure and was diagnosed with depression, but her parents were inconsiderate and
thought she was just being dramatic. Till today, that girl is still at home, afraid to go outside.
Only Erlinda was the one who chose to jump off the building. Maybe she finally gathered the courage to be free of
all this torment at the last moment.
