Chapter 671
Erlinda puked twice, completely turning Nolan off.
“If that script gets another rewrite and Penny still isn’t happy, then screw it, try not to interact with her too much in
the future.”
“I get it, Professor Smith, I beg you.”
Nolan fastened his belt, emitting an old man’s vibe.
Erlinda was so scared that she was shaking all over. Once he left, she hit her knees and puked again.
On her way out, she saw Maja coming back, right at the office door.
Erlinda was startled and took a step back.
Maja noticed that Erlinda looked even more pale than before, and she had only been gone for about ten minutes.
“Ms. Penny.”
Erlinda’s voice was trembling. Maja pulled out a tissue and tried to give it to her.
But she didn’t dare to take it.
Maja pointed inside, saying, “I forgot my phone.”
Erlinda stepped aside, letting Maja in.
The room had already been cleaned, and Erlinda had also pulled herself together. No sign of anything unusual.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMaja picked up the phone which was on the chair. It was in recording mode.
But she hadn’t listened to it yet, and the phone had been hidden in the crevices of the chair, remaining unnoticed
by Nolan.
Erlinda’s own phone was a simple one. It was needed to be handed over to Nolan every time she saw him.
Recording was out of the question.
Seeing Maja’s phone in recording mode, Erlinda’s legs went weak, and she nearly collapsed onto the ground.
Erlinda finally realized that Maja had intentionally left her phone here.
The next second, Erlinda found herself on her knees, trembling like a leaf and requested,
“Ms. Penny, I beg you, don’t listen. Please.”
Seeing her like this, Maja frowned slightly, looked around to make sure there were no cameras, and that Nolan
wouldn’t come back, then helped Erlinda up.
She took Erlinda away from there, closed the office door, and found a quiet spot.
“If you don’t want me to listen, I won’t. But you need to ask yourself if this is the life you want.”
“I’m graduating in a year. I’ve endured for so long; I can keep going for the remaining year. I’ll just tough it out,”
Erlinda looked down.
Otherwise, she would become a laughingstock at school, and Feynman and Jean would be ridiculed back in their
hometown.
Maja stayed silent for a while before holding out her phone.
“If you want to delete it, you can do it yourself. As you can see, I never stopped you.”
Erlinda’s hands were trembling, but she didn’t delete the recording.
She hesitated for ten minutes before speaking.
“Ms. Penny, can I trust you?”
She had been approached by investors before, but they all were linked with Nolan.
If Erlinda made a move, Nolan would immediately know about it.
And the consequence of Nolan finding out was that she would be harmed even more severely.
Maja grabbed Erlinda’s hand, “I promise, whatever you tell me, no third party will know.”
Erlinda lowered her head.
“I have several scripts here. No one knows I wrote them. If you’re interested, I can give them to you. But please
refrain from using my name.”
Erlinda finished, her face showing a bit of embarrassment.
“Can you give me a hundred dollars? The local courier fee is a bit high. I don’t have enough money.”
“I can transfer you the money.”
“No need. A hundred is enough. Anything extra and I’ll return it to you in the parcel.”
Maja immediately pulled out five hundred in cash from her bag.

scripts. We can discuss the price later. I’ve been hiding these scripts. I don’t dare let anyone know.”
Even Feynman and Jean had no clue.
Feynman trusted Nolan implicitly. As soon as Erlinda completed any script, Feynman would immediately inform
Nolan, hoping for his guidance.
But this so–called guidance was essentially stealing Erlinda’s work and attributing it to Nolan.
Erlinda once told Feynman that she wanted to keep her work private, but Feynman ignored her, thinking she was
just being ridiculous.
“Erlinda, Professor Smith is so prestigious and willing to mentor you. You should be grateful. Every time I call him,
he picks up promptly. If he didn’t really likeyou…___
why would he bother talking to me? A good teacher is crucial. Don’t be stubborn. If you’ve written something, let
him see it.”
Erlinda had no privacy at home. She couldn’t even lock her bedroom door. Feynman and Jean could come in
whenever they wanted.
So, anything she wrote at home would be revealed to Nolan by Feynman.
Erlinda had tried to resist, but then she’d be labeled as disrespectful and disobedient.
