Chapter 602
Maja Pennyfeather was about to ask why Felix Brown didn’t suspect anything after spending so much money. But
before she could, her phone buzzed. It was another message from lan Raymond.
Just a single word.
[Ring.]
She was instantly annoyed. She called the police, reported that an item had been stolen from her room, and asked
them to contact the owner, lan.
lan was still waiting for Maja’s reply but soon received a call from the police asking about the appearance and
estimated value of the lost ring.
lan’s face darkened as the police spoke. He handed the phone to Jeff and redialed Maja’s number.
Maja was still with Carol Miller. She had a few drinks and was even more irritated to find lan bothering her again.
“Mr. Raymond.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAfter pressing the answer button, Carol looked over when she heard her address him.
Hearing her voice, lan cooled off instantly.
“Aren’t you home?”
“I’ve reported the ring to the police. They’ll contact you directly if there’s any progress.”
She didn’t answer lan’s question, instead cutting off all his excuses to find her with the ring.
lan clenched his phone, no longer holding back.
“Penny, we’ve slept together so many times. Let’s grab a drink?”
Maja immediately realized he was showing his true colours again..
“I’m busy.”
“Tyler Bennitt’s movie is about to premiere. You’ve invested 15 million dollars, and I’ve invested 15 million as well.
The film is under review, and I know some key people.”
He didn’t spell it out, but he was undoubtedly threatening her.
For lan, 15 million was a chump change. He didn’t care about the money at all, Tyler was just a plaything. If lan
wanted to block the film’s review, Tyler would have to toast him a few more drinks.
The only one who truly cared about this 15 million was Maja. The whole of S.M was counting on this film to make
money.
Ian was pressing her where it hurt.
Being controlled like this wasn’t pleasant, but she couldn’t defy lan. That was the reality.
She lowered her head, hearing him ask, “Have time for that drink now?”
His tone was casual, still coming across as someone out of reach.
Maja hung up the phone. Carol looked at her thoughtfully, then asked, “Has lan ever openly told you he likes you?”
Everyone in the circle knew about his arrogance. He never liked to talk. Only a few people could get along with him.
Everyone else was too afraid to speak in front of him. Yet he called Maja himself.
Carol had Maja’s WhatsApp, but she rarely checked it, so she didn’t see Maja complaining about lan bothering her.
When Maja thought about lan’s absurd confession, her face changed.
“After sleeping with me for two days, he gave me a ring the night I came back from the hospital and casually said

“Oh, my God! If he weren’t so good–looking, I’d really want to punch him.”
Carol was so angry she could hardly contain it. She stood up, patting Maja’s shoulder.
“Believe me, these types of men are just for fun, don’t take them too seriously, and he is full of energy, knows a lot
of tricks, and will exhaust people sooner or later.”
Maja’s cheeks reddened, feeling extremely embarrassed, “Those ten times were unavoidable.”
Because she needed his help.
“You’ve been with him ten times, experienced everything. It’s time to try something new. Why not find a more
obedient man? These dominant types will only give you grief.”
Maja rubbed her forehead, “I know better than anyone.”
Carol didn’t try to persuade her anymore. She knew Maja, and she was the most clear–headed woman she’d ever
met.
If it was someone else having this many encounters with lan, they might be dazzled by his looks and generous
behaviour and lose their way instantly.
After leaving there, Maja headed to the BlueSky Bar.
lan had already texted her the private room location while she was still in the car.
