Chapter 754 An Imposter
Sporting a rough beard and sideburns that seamlessly connected, he looked like someone
for whom a shattered bowl laid out in front might suggest a life spent on the streets,
begging for scraps.
Yet, instead of a broken bowl, what lay before him was an art booth adorned with
paintings, an odd sight indeed.
This disheveled look wasn’t a sign of neglect; rather, it was his signature style, a
declaration of unbridled freedom and creativity, making him the epitome of an artist’s
spirit.
This very appearance made it all the more convincing to onlookers that he was none other
than the renowned Emerentius.
Standing in line behind this untidy figure were men and women, showing their respect in
silence.
One among them, a crew–cut man, stepped forward confidently and addressed the
gathering, “Folks, let’s not be taken aback. Our Mr. Emerentius has always stood out with
his unique charm.” He clarified, aiming to set the record straight regarding the artist’s
unconventional appearance.
This prompted a wave of admiration from the crowd, affirming the idea that an artist’s

and their ability to reach the pinnacle of thought.
“Truly remarkable,” the crowd murmured in agreement.
Hearing the crowd’s praises, the crew–cut man couldn’t help but smile with satisfaction.
He then announced, “This time, Mr. Emerentius has ventured to Ylarora in search of
inspiration. Overcome with a sudden burst of creativity, he’s decided to grace us by
crafting two masterpieces right here, on the spot.”
The announcement was met with enthusiastic applause and cheers.
The man, looking rather pleased with the turn of events, bowed slightly and respectfully.
inquired of the scruffy artist, “Mr. Emerentius are we ready to begin?”
Without uttering a single word, the unkempt man merely nodded slightly in affirmation.
Th crew–cut man promptly instructed those standing behind him, “Mr. Emerentius will

commence painting now. Let’s prepare the drawing paper.”
“Yes!”
Several individuals cooperated to smoothly roll out a large, pale scroll, carefully ensuring
its surface was flat and ready.
Offering the ink brush to Emerentius, the crew–cut man invited, “Mr. Emerentius, if you
please!”
“No need.”
To everyone’s surprise, the unkempt man declined the brush, instead taking a large swig
of potent liquor before energetically plunging his hand into the ink pot.
He then turned his attention to the expansive blank canvas before him, his presence
commanding silence and awe.
Suddenly, the unkept man let out a powerful shout, “Ha!” which seemed to electrify the
atmosphere, energizing everyone present as if they too had been struck by a wave of
adrenaline.
With hands coated in ink, he began to fervently paint, his movements bringing to life.
images of dragons soaring and tigers bounding across the canvas.
After a flurry of intense activity, he abruptly stopped and commanded, “Hold!”
The frenetic energy dissipated as he coolly retreated to the center of his stall, adopting
ant air of indifference, his eyelids heavy, utterly disregarding the crowd of onlookers that
had gathered.
The crowd, meanwhile, was left utterly dumbfounded. It wasn’t that the unkept man’s
painting skills were in question; rather, they were completely baffled by what they saw as
his “masterpiece.”

It resembled a scrawl more than anything!
There were murmurs and whispers, doubting whether this man was truly the Emerentius.
they had heard of.
Just then, the crew–cut man who had initially spoken took the stage again, his smile

cryptic as he addressed the confused onlookers, “Ladies and gentlemen, I can see the
bewilderment in your eyes. Please, allow me to elucidate. Our esteemed Mr. Emerentius is
ever the pioneer, constantly exploring new frontiers in art. What you see before you is his
latest venture into an innovative style, one that prioritizes the essence over the explicit
form. This piece is a bold leap into a realm where traditional forms are discarded, leaving
only the purest expression of thought and meaning. It’s an avant–garde representation of
Mr. Emerentius‘ continuous exploration of the subconscious.”
As he concluded, the crowd exchanged unsure looks..
While they were familiar with Emerentius‘ penchant for abstract and thought–provoking
art, this latest creation pushed the boundaries of their understanding, leaving them to
ponder, Im’t this stream of consciousness a bit too… abstract?
