Chapter 687 Rodney Pays A Visit
Caylie’s internal injuries this time were far more severe than any she had endured before.
The azure cauldron, which was beyond anyone’s control, had flown out and stood upright on one side,
constantly flickering with a mysterious light. Fortunately, there was a Barrier Formation in place;
otherwise, the aura of the azure cauldron would undoubtedly have leaked out long ago.
Pamela acted swiftly, giving Caylie a healing pill. She then turned to Emrys and said, “Ms. White has
been interrupted twice in a row; she needs to rest and recuperate for a while. Once she has recovered,
she can resume her studies!”
Emrys nodded in understanding.
Caylie had to master the Azure Heart Technique to escape the torment brought on by the azure
cauldron.
The guilt within Emrys deepened as he thought, It was all my fault. If I hadn’t acted recklessly that day,
Caylie would have succeeded on her first attempt, and naturally, there wouldn’t have been a second
interruption.

His
gaze turned cold as he addressed Pamela, “Please take good care of Caylie. I need to step out for a bit
to handle some matters.”
At the Crimson Sun Sect, an elderly man with a somber expression stood suspended in mid–air, his
feet planted on a flying sword.
This sight left countless disciples of the Crimson Sun Sect in awe and panic.
Moments ago. the elderly man had let out a thunderous roar, his powerful sword energy startling
everyone within the sect.
If not for the Mountain Defense Formation, countless disciples would have coughed up. blood and lost
their lives.
“Rodney Warde, what do you mean by this?” Quincey walked out with a gloomy expression.
He recognized Rodney, an elder of the Spirit Sword Sect, whose formidable strength had reached the
middle phase of the Golden Elixir Stage.

The relationship between the Spirit Sword Sect and the Crimson Sun Sect had always been somewhat
strained, but direct confrontation and provocation were not common.
The Mountain Defense Formation of the Crimson Sun Sect was a formidable deterrent.
Several elders took their positions, ready to activate the Mountain Defense Formation if Rodney dared
to act out of line.
Rodney chuckled lightly and said, “I heard that your Crimson Sun Sect has given birth to an inheritor of
Azure King’s will. Congratulations!”
Another person is after the will inheritor? Quincey’s face darkened as he sensed that things were not
as simple as they seemed.
Over the past few days, numerous sects had inquired about the inheritor of the Azure King’s will. The
Spirit Sword Sect’s visit was likely not friendly; malice was more probable.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmQuincey spoke in a deep voice, “If you’re here for the inheritor of Azure King’s will, then please leave.
The Crimson Sun Sect does not welcome you.”
Ignoring the strained relationship between the two sects, Rodney’s provocative demeanor made it
impossible for Quincey to share any information with him.
What upset Quincey the most was that Weng Zhengyuan was standing mid–air on a flying sword, a
clear display of contempt.
How dare an elder of the Spirit Sword Sect belittle me, the sect leader of the Crimson Sun Sect? This is
utterly infuriating! Quincey thought.
The disciples of the Crimson Sun Sect, upon witnessing this scene, felt their hearts burn with rage.
“I didn’t come here for the inheritor of Azure King’s will. I came because there’s something I wanted to
consult with your Ms. Miller, Rodney said, shaking his head.
“Ms. Miller is not here!” Quincey replied, clearly annoyed.
“Perhaps you can provide me with the answer then, Mr. Gallagher. I believe that Pamela must have
already informed you of the situation.” A sardonic smirk appeared on Rodney’s face, and Quincey’s
gaze flickered, realizing the purpose of the former’s visit.
