Chapter 851 Sect Leader
“Are you serious?”
“As serious as the sun rises!”
After a moment of contemplation, Emrys suddenly pulled Peter over to Ruben, smiling ast he said, “Since you're
so keen on rebuilding Sword King Sect, | have a proposition for you. From now on, Peter will take on the mantle of
the sect’s leader.”
Ruben’s eyes widened in shock. “This is no joking matter!” he exclaimed.
Peter was also taken aback.
Emrys' expression turned serious as he spoke. “Do you think I'm joking? When | accepted. Sword King's
inheritance, Mr. Peter was right there beside me. He's practically a co- inheritor, and | see no problem with him
becoming the sect leader.”
Emrys had so much on his plate that he hardly had the tor inclination to stay there. and play the role of a
sect leader. Since Ruben was insistent, he simply thought that it would be best to pass the burden onto Peter
instead.
“Besides,” Emrys continued in a playful tone, “when we were atop Sword King Mountain, you mistakenly believed
that Mr. Peter was the inheritor, and you were so emotional about it. I'm guessing you must have already

Ruben awkwardly scratched his head.
Of course, he had entertained such thoughts.
Peter was his son. If he could becthe sect leader, it would undoubtedly bring great honor to him as his
father. This was the reason for his initial excitement.
However, the reality was that Emrys was the true inheritor of Sword King. It had taken a great deal of effort to
convince Caden and Devon to accept this. If Peter were to becthe sect leader now, they would undoubtedly
raise objections once again.
Peter shook his head vehemently and said, “Tigger, | can’t do it. How could | possibly shoulder such a heavy
responsibility?”
Emrys sighed helplessly. “Well, if that’s the case, there’s not much we can do. Three Sword Sects will just have to
maintain the status quo for now. As for your inheritance... | suppose

I'll just have to shoulder the burden myself.”
Upon hearing his words, it finally dawned on them that Emrys wasn't just putting on an act. He truly viewed his
role as the sect leader as a burden.
Just then, Ruben’s eyes lit up as a thought occurred to him. “I have a suggestion. Why don’t you appoint an
acting sect leader? Whenever you're ready to take over the position, you can have the acting sect leader step
down.”
“That's actually not a bad idea,” Emrys said, his gaze lingering on Ruben with a hint of amusement. He was well
aware of the man’s intentions but decided to play along nonetheless. “So, who do you think we should choose as
the acting sect leader?”
“Uh...”
Suddenly, Ruben found himself at a loss for words.
Weren't you just saying that you wanted to give the position of sect leader to Peter? So why are you asking such
a question now when | suggest appointing an acting sect leader? Surely you don’t expectto boldly proclaim
that we should choose my son, do you? What will Caden and Devon think ofif | do that?
At the thought of that, Ruben could only respond awkwardly, “I'll defer to your judgment.”
“I'll choose Peter then,” Emrys declared decisively, putting an end to their playful banter.
“Thank you for your generous decision, Mr. Griffins!”
Overjoyed at this outcome, Ruben turned to look at Caden and Devon before saying, “Gentlemen, you've already
agreed to step down from the position of sect leader. Now that we have our new sect leader, | trust you will

“Hmph!”
The two of them let out a displeased huff, for they couldn't stand to watch him gloat like
this.
“If there's nothing else, I'll be heading back to Spirit Sword Sect now. Farewell!”
Caden cast one last, lingering glance at Emrys before he strode away. The awe and reverence he had felt upon
believing Emrys to be Heavenly Sword King had all but vanished.

The two of them left without looking back.
you don’t Emrys turned to look at Ruben, his tone somewhat odd as he said, “Mr. Ruben, actually believe that
they are willing to relinquish their positions as sect leaders, do you?”
“Of course, | know they wouldn't give up their power so easily.” Ruben murmured, a sigh escaping his lips. “Alas,
it’s been so long since Heavenly Sword King left us. It’s no wonder those two have lost sight of Sword King's
objective.”
