It seemed that the Stephenson family never expected that after the insanely powerful people left, all of
the other guests that had business ties to them began to leave in droves as well.
They seemed to be absolutely terrified and seemed as if they would end up perishing if they stayed even
a second longer.
Those people were incredibly talented in doing business. It was natural for them to stay cautious since
Skylar’s status was too terrifying for them.
Anyone who could convince the city’s elites to bow was obviously not someone they could afford to

Mandy and her family members staggered and fell on the ground as their faces turned pale.

if he should give her another surprise aside from the necklace she wanted.
When Dianne noticed his troubled look, she asked, “Hey boss, you can order me to do anything and I’ll
make sure that I’ll do a good job for you.”
However, Skylar shook his head and said, “Oh, you won’t be able to help me with this.”
“What exactly is it though?” Dianne was stunned.
“Romance,” Skylar bluntly replied.
Oh… Dianne was completely speechless to hear that.
She never expected that the god of war himself would someday worry about being romantic to a woman.
She wondered just how her comrades at the Northern borders would react if they found out about it.
So, Dianne silently left the living room while Skylar pondered.
Not long after she left, Skylar’s phone rang and it turned out to be from Yulia.
However, before Skylar could say anything, Yulia interjected and somehow, she sounded

“Skylar, I understand that our relationship is only legal on paper, but you are responsible to be a good
father for Lola. I don’t care who you’re interested in, but can’t you be á little low profile in doing so? How
do you think Lola would feel when she saw her own father hugging another
woman?”
Skylar was completely stunned as he asked, “What’s going on? Me and another woman?”
“What’s the matter? Are you not bold enough to admit it? Do you want me to send you the video
instead?”
Yulia hung up the call before Skylar could react.
So, Skylar kept his phone away and after cracking his brain for a good long while, he finally understood
why Yulia was so angry then.
He assumed that she was upset about him hugging Naomi at the wedding. He presumed that Yulia and
Lola might have seen the video when someone uploaded it online. He wondered just how things could
be this coincidental and decided that he needed to get to the bottom of it.
However, when he recalled just how furious Yulia was earlier, Skylar smiled and thought, Oh… is she
jealous?
