She quickly stepped outside the sterile room and found herself face-to-face with Finn.

“Not great,” Yvonne replied with a frown. “The burns cover too much of her body - infection is a huge risk. Mr.
Gunn orderedto monitor her IVs and keep her stable with anti-inflammatory drips for now. But honestly, she
needs skin grafts as soon as possible.”
Worry lingered in her voice.
The extensive burns meant Natalie would need a large amount of skin replaced, and the surgery couldn't be
done all at once. On top of that, they needed a donor with a high skin match to reduce the risk of rejection -
even then, the recovery would be long and agonizing. Painkillers could only do so much.
And all of this... might've happened because her sister failed in her duty.
Natalie shouldn't have had to go through this.
Yvonne's heart ached with guilt.
Finn narrowed his eyes slightly. “Even if she gets the surgery... what are the odds of it actually succeeding?”
“If Mr. Gunn performs it himself, the chances are decent,” Yvonne said honestly. “Why do you ask?”
Finn gave a vague shake of his head. “No reason. Just seems like our entire operation is on hold because of her.

“What the hell are you talking about? Since when have | made her an enemy?” Finn snorted. “She’s just a

With that, he turned and stormed off.
