To keep her cover, Rachel had eaten a little of the lunch herself before collapsing in the kitchen.
By the tYvonne finally made it to the Stone family villa, unease had already taken root in her chest.
When her uncle and aunt returned, she had slipped away. Now that she was back, she was carrying the news
that her cousin had gone missing.
Would they even be able to bear it?
Taking a deep breath, Yvonne pushed the door open. The villa was disturbingly silent.
Her heart tightened.
“Someone call my cousin Flynn. Tell him to get back here immediately!”
She had already tried to send people to reach Flynn earlier, but they hadn't been able to find him, and her men
had gone dark as well.
Now, standing in this eerily quiet villa, she was terrified something else might have happened.
One of her men instinctively moved to leave, but Yvonne stopped him.
She handed him a journalist's press badge and whispered, “Go straight through the Stone Group front gates with
this. Tell them you're a reporter scheduled to interview Flynn. That interview is real-the paper really did book one
with him this afternoon.”
Her man snatched the badge and left at once.
Not knowing what she’d find inside, Yvonne ordered her people to spread out, then rushed in herself.
“It’s Yvonne!”
She kicked the door open, only to frown at the sight before her.
The villa’s living room was a mess, but completely empty.

Yvonne confirmed she was still alive before snapping to the men behind her, “Quick! Get her to the hospital! And
take the food for testing-I want to know what's in it.”

They carried Rachel away while Yvonne rushed upstairs in search of Waylon and Ruby.
When she found the couple still fast asleep in their bedroom, her legs nearly gave out.
“You can’t have anything happen to you!”
She stumbled to them, checked their breathing, then immediately called 911.
Meanwhile, across town, Flynn couldn’t shake his restlessness.
He had wanted to step outside to clear his head, but his assistant cin saying a major client had arrived and
insisted Flynn personally receive him.
Flynn forced himself to focus, only for the man to nitpick endlessly over every detail of the cooperation plan.
Irritation flared.
“Sir, if you think Stone Group can’t meet your demands, we can call this off right now. We haven't signed
anything yet. The Stone family doesn’t need this deal.”
The frustration had cout of nowhere.
He didn’t know why, but his mood felt exactly like it had the day his sister went missing years
ago.
He didn’t wait for the man to reply. Flynn stood and left the conference room, turning to his assistant. “Do you
have my private phone?”
“No.”
The assistant shook his head.
“Giveyour phone. | need to call my sister.”
His heart was pounding erratically.
Flynn wasn’t the superstitious type, but ever since Natalie's childhood disappearance, he had learned to trust
this sixth sense whenever it surfaced.
He dialed Natalie's number again and again. Each time, the call went straight to voicemail- her phone was off.
That only deepened his unease.

Chris was her personal bodyguard-trained by Baron himself. His phone would never be off.
Flynn’s stomach dropped.
“Let's go! Home!”
He strode out, not sparing a glance for the deal.

“Get lost!”
Flynn snapped, kicking him aside before storming off.
Just then, his secretary rushed in.
“A reporter's here-he says he has an interview scheduled with you this afternoon.”
The spurned client, still smarting from the kick, brightened slightly at the news.
But Flynn's face remained cold. “Cancel it. I'm going home.”
