371 Mini heart attacks

Today, Zoren's first realization of the day was... this was how he wanted to wake up every day. Perhaps, even if

his body wanted to give in, he would still wake up if this was what he was going to wake up to. "Good morning,

wife."

Zoren propped his temple against his knuckles, his eyes squinting to see her features more clearly. Unlike in the

past several weeks, he could now make out the shape of her face.

'A small face, her cheeks a little plump." His lips curled up subtly as he poked her cheek lightly. He then

continued to trace her face with his fingertips. Her eyebrows are slightly thin, her eyelashes are quite long, her

nose small and a bit pointy, and her jaw... is a little small. Considering the image of the young Penny in his mind,

he could clearly imagine her face now as

an adult.

‘She did beca beauty who will stun the world," he thought, chuckling faintly. Though that isn't the most

important.’

His failing vision had never been a hindrance to knowing she was a wonderful person.

Looking back to the tshe first approached him, followed him like a creep, and then appeared again in his

own territory, it seemed fate had its own way of twisting and tangling its strings. But at the end of the

day, they're still connected.

Now, he remembered that dream he had stago.

That door in his dream... opened to a new world. Just one step, and such a dazzling world welcomed him. Most

importantly, she was there.

Zoren smiled in satisfaction, resting his arm over her chest, his fingertips stroking her cheek. For minutes, he

stayed like that, as if he had no plans to get up and work. He didn't want to go to work. He just wanted to stay

like this-much more peaceful. "Penelope," he called, his voice a little coarse. "Wake up. | know a buffet you'd

like."

"Mhm." Penny moaned and slowly rolled onto her side, turning her back to him. "Chunchun, stop it. Still sleepy."

His brows rose as he stared at her back. "I'm not Chunchun..." he trailed off, catching a black figure from the

corner of his eye. Deep lines appeared between his brows as he sat up, spotting Renny sleeping in the corner of

his bedroom with a little white ball on top of him. It was Chunchun, sleeping on Renny.

"He doesn't like sleeping indoors for quite stnow, he whispered, recalling that his black panther enjoyed

the outdoors more. Therefore, Renny had his own open house around the residence. But it seemed Renny had

slept here tonight as well.

Zoren chuckled, snapping his eyes back to Penny again. Seeing that she still wanted to sleep, he didn't bother

her any longer. He flung his legs out of bed and started his morning, knowing this

was not the tfor him to be too comfortable with her.

He still had to impress her more- even more this time. (2)

So, Zoren headed to the bathroom, just to make sure he looked his best once she woke up. He might have to do

this forever, but he didn't mind impressing his wife forever.

With that thought in mind, he left.

Minutes later, Penny's brows twitched as something was tickling her nose. She turned around, but the same

sensation struck her again. Opening her eyes, the first thing she saw was Chunchun nudging her face. Her lips

curled up immediately as she hugged Chunchun. "Good morning, Chunchun," she greeted happily, her heart

already full even though she had barely woken up. "It's a good day."

When she felt something warm and heavy on her back, she looked over and saw Renny. She chuckled and rolled

onto her back, hugging the black panther with just one arm.

"Morning, Blacky-" she chuckled as the panther started licking her face. "Ahh... too early for such

sweetness."

Penny indulged her beloved pets, who were healing her entire world, until she suddenly froze. She snapped her

eyes wide open and, without a second's hesitation, sat up like a corpse rising from its coffin. Turning her head in

a panic, all she saw was the other side of the bed, which was empty.

"Renren, she whispered. "Where did he go?"

Her eyes slowly widened in horror. Letting go of Chunchun, she hurriedly flung her legs out of the bed. Just as

she was about to rush outside, she heard the shower running.

Penny stopped, turning her head in the direction of the bathroom. "Oh." Her heart and body calmed down in

relief. "He's there."

Slowly, the corner of her lips curled up, and she heaved another sigh of relief. She then laughed to herself,

shaking her head at her silliness.

"I'm silly, she murmured before casting her cats a look. "Sorry. Thought he was missing" Penny returned to the

bed and picked up Chunchun in her arms. Renny looked up at her as i was waiting to be picked up as well.

"I'm sorry, Blacky, but | can't carry you," she said apologetically before placing Chunchun on top of him. "But I'm

hungry. Let's go make something for breakfast."

Having said that, Penny fixed the bed out of habit before the three of them went out of the bedroom to make

sbreakfast. As the door closed, the door to the walk-in closet opened minutes later. Zoren stepped out while

fixing the buttons of his inner shirt, only to stop completely. When he turned his head, the bed was empty. His

eyes quickly moved to the corner where Renny and Chunchun had been, but they were no longer there.

His heart thudded, and before he could think that he was now having delusions, he ran out of

the bedroom in a hurry. But just as he reached the mezzanine, a whiff of toast and coffee assaulted his nostrils.

Following the smell was the faint sound of her voice echoing.

"Renny! No-not- oh, my god."

Her voice was very faint, considering the place was huge, and it was rare to hear someone from another part of

the house. His shoulders relaxed as he took his tgoing down the stairs and into the kitchen.

As soon as he reached the kitchen, he saw Penny working in the kitchen while Chunchun sat quietly on the

counter, Renny, on the other hand, was all over Penny's legs. Seeing this sight, Zoren sighed in relief and leaned

his side against the jamb.

'So, this is what married life is, huh?" he smiled until all his teeth were on full display. All these mini heart attacks

are bad for my heart. Zoren, you need to fix your eyes as soon as possible.
