Chapter 330 Tiffany

Charlotte looked at him with calm, deep eyes that held no warmth. “Can I still trust you?”

The words hit Arthur like a knife to the heart.

His grip tightened unconsciously as he swallowed hard. “You can trust me.”

Evie and Pete walked over just then.

Hearing his words, Evie let out a harsh laugh. “Trusting a man? Yeah right. Pigs might as well fly.”

Pete shot her an exasperated look. “Con, you can’t just write off every guy like that.”

Evie glanced at him. “Trust me. | know what I'm talking about. Men are all the same.”

Pete had no comeback for that one.

Charlotte stayed quiet for a moment, her eyes downcast in thought, before finally saying, “Okay.”

She was giving him one last chance.

Charlotte turned to Evie and Pete. “You guys head back to my studio. I'll be there soon.”

“What if something happens?” Pete frowned concern written all over his face. “I should stick around.”

Evie nodded quickly. “Yeah, let us stay. That way, if anyone tries anything funny, we've got your back.” She shot

a pointed look at Arthur's stony expression.

Charlotte smiled, “Don’t worry. I'll be fine.”

Their hands were tied since she was so adamant about it.

Charlotte turned and got into Arthur's car.

As the car disappeared into the distance, Evie clicked her tongue and shook her head. “Who knows what that

jerk is up to now? What if he pulls sdirty tricks to stop Lottie from divorcing him?”

Pete's usually gentle face turned serious. “I'll help her,” he said simply.

Evie sighed and shook her head, not taking his words seriously at all. In Lanceser, Arthur's word was law. When

he didn’t want something to happen, who could possibly stand in his way?

She got into her car. “Let’s head back and wait for news.”

The car glided smoothly down the road.

Charlotte sat in complete silence.

Arthur’s hands gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles white as his fingers drummed against it, betraying his

irritation.

The atmosphere between them was thick enough to cut with a knife.

When the car pulled into a cemetery, Charlotte froze. “What? Are you planning to buryalive?” she blurted

out,

Arthur was momentarily speechless. He shot her an exasperated look. “Why would | bury you alive?”

“Then, why did you bringto a cemetery?” Charlotte eyed him suspiciously.

The car cto a stop. “There's someone you need to meet,” he said, his voice low and solemn.

Charlotte sensed something was off. Without a word, she got out of the car.

The bodyguard yanked Sarah out, too.

When Sarah saw it was a cemetery, all the color drained from her face. She stared at Arthur, pure fear in her

eyes. “Arthur, why are we here?” Her voice trembled as she spoke.

Arthur didn’t even spare her a glance. He just walked straight into the cemetery. Charlotte followed close behind

him.

Sarah tried to make a run for it, but the bodyguard caught her, forcing her to keep up with them.

As they climbed the stone steps, the afternoon sun blazed overhead, but the cemetery breeze sent chills right

through to their souls.

They walked through rows of headstones until finally stopping

at one grave.

The bodyguard handed over a bouquet of white roses. Arthur took them and placed them in front of the

headstone.

Then, Charlotte noticed the photo and the non the grave.

The face in the photo was so young. The girl was beautiful, with a radiant smile, now forever frozen in black and

white.

Below the photo was a name—Tiffany Miller.
