Squinting into the bathroom, she could just make out the flickering flames through the haze, and a silhouette huddled in the corner, crying out in terror.

Elysia's eyes widened in shock. How on earth could a fire start in such a damp place like the bathroom, and such a big one at that? This was practically arson! Yet, the bathroom door had been closed since Amara went in. How could this have happened? Her mind was in chaos, but one thought was clear-Amara was in danger! She looked around desperately for something to shield herself from the flames, hoping to find something to wrap around her and make a dash inside. Spotting a thick shawl nearby, Elysia grabbed it, wrapped it around herself, and, with a determined look at the smoke-filled bathroom, steeled herself to run in.

"Ms. Moon, what are you doing!" The commotion had drawn the attention of the housekeeper, a woman in her forties, who rushed in and grabbed Elysia to stop her.

"Let go!" Elysia shouted, "Ama is in there!" "Please, calm down. I'll call 911 right now. She'll be alright." "There's no tfor 911, I don't know how much longer Ama can hold on." The thick smoke and dancing flames made it impossible to see inside. She had no idea if Amara had found a safe spot or was enduring the fire's wrath.

Elysia's eyes were red with emotion, and she was just about to charge in when a pair of arms wrapped around her waist from behind. "Are you crazy? Stay still!" It was Dorian. He had cover and was holding Elysia back, trying to prevent her from doing anything reckless.

Elysia was beside herself, practically ready to slap Dorian. "What are you doing, letgo, you-" "Finn-" Dorian was holding Elysia back when he suddenly saw a figure dart past them, hastily wrapping something around themselves before diving into the flames.

He recognized the figure immediately, his eyes widening in disbelief.

It was Finnian! "Stop right there!"

Watching this unfold, both Elysia in Dorian's arms and the gathered house staff were wide-eyed with shock.

Inside, smoke swirled and embers flew as the temperature soared to unbearable levels. Amara felt like she was either going to suffocate from the heat or choke from the smoke.

Crouched in a corner, she tried desperately to avoid the sparks that threatened to burn her skin But the fire crept closer, her safe space shrinking by the second, and escape seemed impossible. Was this really how it would end for her? "Amara, Amara." Suddenly, a voice called out to her through the chaos.

Amara lifted her head and thought she saw a tall, familiar figure. Could it really be him?
