Chapter 703 Zane and I returned to the office together. I sat on the couch and tried to recall everything that had happened between my mother and that prick.

The more I thought about it, the calmer I became.

Back then, my so-called father had bullied my mother and me, pushing his luck every chance he got. But I was just a kid-I couldn't keep Otis in prison for long.

Now, I was no longer that powerless child. If Otis dared to crossagain, I wouldn't show him any mercy. Determination flickered in my eyes. I pulled out a stack of documents from my drawer-it was evidence of all the shady dealings he had been involved in since his release.

After taking a deep breath, I contacted a courier. When they arrived, I handed over the documents and instructed them to deliver them to their destination.

After confirming the courier had left, I headed upstairs, stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, and took out a pair of binoculars. Peering down, I saw the courier veer off to a side street, stopping next to a parked car before handing the documents to someone else.

I lowered the binoculars and scoffed.

It seemed that he still hadn't adapted to the modern world even after all these years.

Did he really think that in this day and age, delivering evidence still required a physical handover-a method that was not only risky but prone to getting lost? He must still seeas that naive high school kid who hadn't grown up.

After that, I turned on my computer and started sketching.

Zane walked over and asked, "What were you looking at?" Without much thought, I replied, "Just sclowns who think too highly of themselves." Zane looked a little surprised.

I was afraid he would not understand what I meant, so I explained, "A few years ago, I caused someone to suffer a significant loss. Now, he's constantly on guard, convinced I'll use the smethods against him. He even assumes I'll transport evidence the sway I did back then. Isn't that just ridiculous?" Zane nodded. "It does seem a bit foolish." "But it's not a big deal." I casually patted his arm. "You're busy. You should focus on your work." My father's mess was mine to handle. There was no need to involve Zane and make him worry.

Seeing how composed I was, he finally relaxed.

I continued sketching, but halfway through, another thought struck me. It wasn't wise to leave so much money just sitting in my account.

I paused, opened my laptop, and started researching new business opportunities.

After digging around, I found a promising project-one no one had ventured into yet but with huge profit potential.

First, I analyzed the target customer base and then identified potential investors. Once I had a clear understanding of the market drafted a business plan.

With that done, I contacted a manufacturer to begin production and then connected with marketing teams to map out the promotional strategy.

After finalizing the campaign direction, I secured online and offline distribution channels.

I let out a breath of relief and returned to my sketches once everything was in motion.

Before I could get far, my phone rang. It was the manufacturer.

They informedthat, based on my requested quantity, they could m complete production in less than a day.

This was a large-scale factory originally committed to long-term clients. However, after a shift in M procurement decisions, they had lost orders and were now operating below capacity, so they were able to prioritize my products. Upon hearing this, I immediately instructed them to ramp up production while pushing other departments to accelerate marketing efforts.

What I didn't expect was just how well the campaign would perform-sales skyrocketed across all platforms.

Even the manufacturer was ecstatic.

They called again, excitedly tellingthey had several more factory spaces available and asked if wanted to scale up and go all in on production.
