“I'll be more careful,” the woman replied.

She still held her daughter's hand tightly, and the fear was yet to leave her eyes. She had been engrossed in a

conversation with an old friend and hadn't noticed when her daughter had gone missing.

Norah squatted down and gently pinched the little girl's cheek before saying, “Whenever you go out, always hold

your mom’s hand tightly and never let go.”

“I promise | will,” the little girl said solemnly.
