Just then, the door pulled open and a figure came into view. A woman, wearing a long brown dress. I closed my eyes. I felt the woman move close to the bed. Before her hand could touch me, I gripped it, pushing her closer to me, and I had my hands on her neck.
"Hey, relax. I swear I mean no harm," she held her hands up in the air. "I'm a friend."
