“How did you know?” one of the men exclaimed, reaching for the stun baton in his pocket.
Debra casually touched the crest on their chests. “The logo is wrong. Be more careful with your forgeries.”
She turned around and raised her voice. “I'm already here, Mr. Odom. Why don’t you cout with Miss Eaton?
We'll have a little chat.”
Soon, a figure emerged from the abandoned factory. In just half a month, Edgar had becextremely haggard.
His face was covered in stubble. His hair was disheveled, and his shirt was dirty.

Then she kicked the other man in the groin, sending him writhing on the ground.
As she increased the voltage on the stun baton, the first man convulsed and passed out.
“Even your kidnapping skills are amateurish,” Debra scoffed. “You should have knockedout as soon as | got
in the car, not letmemorize the route and plan a counterattack.”
She turned, glancing at Edgar and then the stun baton. “Oh, | forgot to mention that Marion had trained me
every night. So, your goons don’t stand a chance against me.”
Edgar gritted his teeth, his face contorted with rage.
Debra continued, unfazed, “Considering you're broke, finding even these amateurs must have been tough. |
shouldn't be picky.”
