Chapter 399 "Rosie!" Howard hurried past Daniel and helped Rosie up from the floor. "Did you hurt yourself?" "I'm fine." Rosie shook her head, instinctively stepping aside to avoid his support.
"Thank you." Daniel suddenly realized something. His eyes darted around before he pointed at Howard. "What did you just call him?" If he had heard correctly, Rosie had just called him Hendrix. "Who's Hendrix? You're Howard." In a flash, Howard's gaze darkened. He glared at Daniel before looking at the security guard behind him. "Take him out!" "Yes, sir!" The security guards cup and dragged Daniel out. "Let's go." "Let go of me! Rosie is my wife! I have every right to take her with me!" Daniel naturally wouldn't give in so easily.
Amidst the chaos, Rosie suddenly said, "Wait!" The room fell into silence. Everyone turned to her, including Howard. She lifted her head toward Howard's location and asked, "Y-You're not Hendrix. Are you Mr. Flynn?" "I" Howard, rarely caught off guard, was momentarily at a loss for words. His features tensed.
Rosie pressed on, asking, "Who are you exactly?" Left with no choice, Howard pressed his lips together and nodded. "Yes, I'm Howard." Rosie felt a cold chill creep up the back of her neck. She opened her mouth, but no words cout. "Y-You..." Suddenly, Daniel burst into laughter. "Howard, it turned out you deceived my wife!" Then, he turned to Rosie. "Rosie, this man didn't even dare to tell you his real identity. He's just toying with you. Once he's tired of you, he'll dump you. Rosie, cwith me. Let's go home-" "Shut up!" Howard glared at Daniel, his gaze icy. "It's none of your business what's going on between us." Daniel ignored Howard and shouted to Rosie, "Rosie, I treated you badly before, making you sad. That's why he managed to fool you with his sweet talk. It's all my fault. Please chwith me. I promise I'll treat you well in the future." "Shut up!" Amidst the commotion, Rosie covered her eyes which were in pain with her hands.

Even as Daniel was pulled away, he kept shouting, "Rosie, don't be fooled! Think about it. Howard can get his hands on any woman he wants! He'd never fall for someone like you! He hid his identity because he never intended to take you seriously!" Howard, unable to bear it any longer, slammed the door shut with a loud bang. After that, he turned to Rosie. "Rosie-" "Stay away from me!" Rosie instantly raised her arms defensively, subconsciously backing away two steps. "Rosie." Howard stopped in his tracks, his brows furrowed. "I was wrong to hide my identity from you. But I never intended to deceive you," he explained.
Rosie's mind was racing. She had no idea why Howard would be interested in her. "Then what's your motive? Why would someone like you..." She covered her eyes again.
"Rosie." Howard wanted to steady her, but she flinched back as if sensing his touch as she shook her head repeatedly.
"Please, could you leavealone?" she pleaded.
Howard froze, his heart sinking. He remained silent for a moment, then nodded. "Okay, I'll leave. You get srest." Howard turned and kept looking back as he walked out. Outside the ward, Sienna was waiting there. She hadn't had a chance to intervene during the previous situation.
Sienna called out worriedly after seeing Howard's grim expression. "Howard, did you two argue?" Howard forced a smile. "You were right. Because I didn't tell her the truth myself, things have ended in the worst way possible." Sienna didn't know what to say.
"You should go in. Letknow if anything happens," Howard said, glancing at the ward.
"Okay, Howard. I will." Sienna nodded and entered the ward. Inside, Rosie was fumbling her way back onto the hospital bed.
"Rosie," Sienna approached, helping her lie down. She studied Rosie's perplexion and inquired, "How are you feeling?" Rosie paused, then smiled faintly. "I'm fine, just a bit jumbled up here." She pointed to her temple, then tilted her head toward Sienna. "You knew, didn't you?" "Yes." Sienna nodded and apologized, "I'm sorry, Rosie. Although it was Howard's request, I did help him keep it from you." Rosie shook her head. "I don't blyou. I know he's someone important to you. I just don't understand what exactly Mr. Flynn wants." She took Sienna's hand and continued, "Isn't Howard in a relationship with 'sn't vana Yvette?".

If that weren't the case, I wouldn't have agreed to help Howard hide the truth from you." "Broke up?" Rosie was astonished. It was shocking news to her. "Haven't they been together for over a decade? They were so in love. Why did they break up?" Sienna shook her head. "I don't know. Love can be complicated, so I didn't ask Howard about it in detail But I can be sure that they have indeed broken up." That was why Yvette had turned around and confessed her feelings to Josiah instead.
Rosie had countless questions in her mind. "Why would Mr. Flynn treatdifferently?" After all she was a married woman with a bad reputation. In terms of looks, she wasn't exactly stunning either. Sienna was surprised. "Rosie, when you like someone, those things don't matter." Rosie chuckled and shook her head. "No, that's not it. I've been loved before. I know what it feels like to be cherished." She continued, "Whether he's playing Hendrix or himself, he's treatedwell. He seems to like me, but he doesn't makefeel loved. Do you understand?"
"Mr. Flynn doesn't like me." Rosie was kind to certain. She couldn't fathom why he was so kind to her, even going so far as to hide his identity. 'Could it be that Daniel was correct after all?' she wondered. *****
It had been a while since Josiah last went to Maze, yet nothing seemed to have changed. The stage in the m center of the hall was still the main event of the day. Thomas swirled the glass in his hand and glanced at the stage, sighing. "It's not even close to Sienna's level." Yosef clicked his tongue. Then, he frowned and glared at Thomas. "If you don't know what to say, keep your mouth shut." Josiah was right beside them, and Thomas dared to bring up Sienna.
Josiah leaned back against the couch, seemingly indifferent. "She's not that bad. She's dancing quite well." When Yosef heard that, he interjected, "She's not the most popular one. The star performer hasn't appeared yet. Their new star performer is also quite popular." As the three of them were talking, a slender figure hurried over.
"Greetings, Yosef, Thomas, and Josiah, Cédric greeted them one by one, loosening his tie knot and finding a seat. He looked travel-worn and slightly tired.
