"Whoa!" Victor frowned and promptly threw the check back at Cid. "I've actually heard, but the chairwoman is the new head of the
Lane family, isn't she? And your dad wants us to kill her? Is he crazy?!"
"Hehe..." Cid chuckled calmly despite Victor trying to excuse himself. "It's up to you now, Victor. | know about the Morhen bigwigs

Pausing, Cid then kept smiling as he continued, "Also, twenty million is just the deposit. Once it's done, you'll be paid a billion."
"What?! A billion?!" Victor's cigarette almost fell out of his mouth. "Shit, how much money have you bloodsuckers been siphoning
off Lanecorp over the years? Y'all be dead rich..."
Still, Cid could see that Victor was hesitant. He quickly pressed, "And my father has added that once this is done, Victorget will be
the sole contractor for Lanecorp's security concerns. Do you know what that means...?"
"Fine!" Victor gritted his teeth, giving in to Cid's temptation. "Since y'all put it that way, I'm taking the deal—we just have to
capture that woman, huh?"
"Exactly." Cid nodded with a sleazy smile. "And she's a beauty, Victor, so my father would like her pride crushed... if you know what
| mean?"
Victor laughed, rubbing his bald scalp. "Hahaha! No problem—that's what | do best!"
There was a knock on his office door just then, and he barked, "Cin!"
A goon entered and reported, "Victor, there's this man and woman outside asking to see you. The chick says that she's the board
chairwoman of Lanecorp or something."
Victor paused for a moment and laughed. "Speak of the devil!"
Cid was smiling too. "Well, I'll look forward to seeing you in action, Victor."
