Chapter 546
"I wasn't wrong, you know. That 'two-faced' girl messed up, and yet Asher still blamed you. I've never seen
anyone so biased. She's not even his real sister. Honestly, it's fair to suspect there's something more going on."
Janice finished her rant, and Stella frowned slightly. "Maybe they're just really close siblings."
"That's being way too close," Janice retorted, about to argue further, but Lemira cut her off.
Stella glanced at the bouquet of roses nearby, her expression growing more complicated.
The next day, in class, Lemira spotted Evelina flaunting yet another designer outfit, her hand gripping a Hermes
bag, looking smug and self-assured. But when Evelina caught sight of Lemira, her eyes darted nervously, and
she quickly put distance between them, as if dreading a confrontation.
Lemira chuckled inwardly. That 'two-faced' girl really didn't bother hiding her true colors.
After class, Lemira received a message from Orion. He mentioned he had to go on a last-minute business trip for
a day. It seemed like he'd been busier than usual lately.
Was it because he overheard Asher's criticism and was now overcompensating by working overtime? Once Orion
got back, Lemira decided she'd have a talk with him. There was no need to overwork himself.
Lemira had been living in the college dorms. With Lucian and Caspian gone, she had no plans to return to the
Langston family residence. But then Sophia messaged her, inviting her to help organize a dinner event.
After sthought, Lemira decided to attend. She couldn't let people think her parents’ foundation was just a
money-making scheme.
After class, she hailed a cab to the venue. When she arrived, she realized just how upscale the place was, with

As she approached the entrance, a guard stopped her. "Staff should use the back entrance. This entrance isn't
for you."
Lemira raised an eyebrow. "I'm not staff. Besides, aren't you staff too? Do you look down on yourself?"
The guard flushed with anger. "I've seen plenty of gold-diggers like you, trying to snag a rich guy. This is a
members-only club. Do you have a membership?"
She didn't, actually.
"Well, well, isn't it Lemira? What are you doing stuck at the entrance?" ca snide voice.
Susanna sauntered over, arm-in-arm with Evelina.
Evelina was clearly enjoying Lemira's predicament. "Lemira, are you here for a date with your broke boyfriend?
Didn't he tell you this place is members-only?"
"Someone like Lemira wouldn't
know. She thinks a little cash makes her wealthy. This club, though, requires connections to even get
membership, Susanna mocked, eager to humiliate Lemira, s
"But if you apologize to me, I'll let you in. My sister has a black card here, you know!"
Lemira laughed. "It's your sister who invitedhere."
"Impossible. Why would my sister bother with someone like you?"

Lemira was equally taken aback. "Mrs. Amanda, what a coincidence."
"Why are you standing outside?" Mrs. Amanda asked.
Susanna quickly interjected, "Mrs. Amanda, she doesn't even have a membership
