Chapter 164 Good Skills But Bad Character

Even though Gwen kept praising Jonathan now, she had trampled and disregarded him countless times in reality.

Obviously, she was trying to say that Jonathan relied on his mentor’s fame to become famous in the country. If he

went overseas, he could not survive at all.

At first, Jane’s grandmother was very impressed with Gwen, especially when Jane displayed her pile of certificates.

Jane’s grandmother said, “I’ll take a nap first. I’m tired.”

“I’m sleepy. Sean, take good care of Miss Raven. I’m going to take an afternoon nap.” Jane’s grandmother yawned

as she walked to her room with her crutches.

When she walked to the door of the room, she heard Jane and Gwen talking, “Gwen, why don’t you stay at my

house for two days and sleep with me? It’s been a long time since we have a girl’s talk.”

“Alright.” Gwen smiled.

Actually, she had two reasons for coming back this time.

One of the goals, of course, was to amaze the world at the Medical Conference.

The other goal was to find a partner.

home country.

She knew her situation. It was impossible for her to marry a genius like Julian.

That left the other four noble young masters. Alan from the Jones family, Fred from the Hiller family, Jayden from

the Green family, and Jasper from the Zeller family.

Hearing that Gwen was actually staying, Jane’s grandmother snorted coldly in her heart and went into her room to

take an afternoon nap.

An hour later, Jane came over. She knocked on the door and said obediently. “Grandma, are you awake?”

“Yes,” Jane’s grandmother replied.

Jane pushed open the door with a filial expression. “Grandma, I’ll get Gwen to take your pulse and give you

acupuncture.”

“No, I have something to deal with now,” her grandmother said.

“Grandma, what’s the matter?” Jane felt that her grandmother was deliberately trying to protect Annalise.

Her grandmother did not say anything. Instead, she stood up and called for the servant. “Cherry, did you see the

new dress Sandy bought me last month?”

The servant, Cherry, immediately came in and said, “Yes, I put it away for you and hung it in the cloakroom.”

“Get it for me,” Jane’s grandmother said.

Cherry immediately went to get the clothes.

Jane persuaded her grandmother. “Grandma, taking your pulse and getting acupuncture is very fast. It won’t take

up too much time.”

Her grandmother looked at her with deep eyes. “Jane, you can’t wait to get someone to help me recuperate. Are

you really concerned about me?”

Being sized up by her grandmother’s penetrating gaze, Jane felt inexplicably guilty, but she did not make it show at

all. She said firmly, “Of course, I’m concerned about you.”

She stretched out to hold her grandmother’s hand and said sincerely, “Grandma, you don’t know how worried we

were when you suddenly fell unconscious. I hope you’re healthy and live a long life.”

As she spoke, she leaned into her grandmother’s arms and said in a cute tone, “Grandma, I might be a little

stubborn and not as outstanding as others. But I really love you, Mom and Dad, and my brothers. I love our family. I

want everyone in our family to be safe and happy.”

These words moved the lady’s heart..

These days, she thought she should punish Jane for being willful, but hearing Jane’s sincere words, she instantly felt

her heart going soft.

Jane was just a child. It was inevitable that she would have some thoughts. She would teach Jane slowly. “Grandma,

let Gwen take a look at it for you. We’ll be more at ease if there’s no big problem.” Jane did not believe that her

grandmother would not give in.

However, her grandmother said the next moment, “We’ll do it after I come back. I have to go out now.” Jonathan

and Annalise cured her illness. She knew what was good for her.

The servant, Cherry, came in with a new set of clothes.

Jane’s grandmother changed into her new clothes and asked Cherry to inform the driver to send her out.

“Grandmother, you haven’t recovered yet. Where are you going?” Jane chased after her.

Her grandmother said, “Jane, tell your parents when they come home later. I’ll visit Madam Zeller. She hasn’t been

well for the past two days.”

With that, she instructed the driver to drive.

There were some things that were inconvenient for her to say since there were outsiders at home. She would leave

them alone for two days. Anyway, she wanted to visit an old friend.
