Chapter 696 Get Out!
"These are all my luggage, James. I'll tidy them up quickly," Jolene said.
As she was about to go over and tidy up her luggage, she was pushed to the floor by
James. He looked down at her with disdain, not hiding the disgust in his eyes.
"Hmph! You wouldn't be thinking of sharing a room with me, would you?"
"James..." Jolene felt uneasy, especially with James' current demeanor. It made her have
the urge to run away.
"Go to the servants' quarters downstairs; that's where your room is."
James didn't even look at her as he walked toward the bathroom. Soon, the sound of water
splashing came, and Jolene was still on the floor, feeling lost.
The servants' quarters? But she was the Windsors' future lady of the house. How could she
stay in the servants' quarters?
Then again, she thought of James' demeanor a moment ago and couldn't help but feel
scared. After hesitating for a while, she finally dragged her luggage downstairs. Moving

again. By the time she was done, she was utterly exhausted.
Just as she finished moving everything, James came out of the bathroom." Where's the
coffee?" He stood on the second-floor corridor, looking at Jolene, who was resting on the
sofa in the living room. "Did you think I asked you to come here to enjoy yourself? Since
you're so eager to be a Windsor, you must take care of all the household chores for me
from now on. If anything displeases me even a little bit, don't blame me for sending you
back to the Walters."
James looked at Jolene sternly as she stood up from the sofa with a pitiful look.
"James, can't we hire a maid?" she asked.
"Hire a maid? Then what use do I have for you?" James didn't mince his words. He asked
Jolene to move in so that he could torment her. Naturally, he wouldn't let her have a good
time.
Jolene bit her lip, on the verge of tears. "I'm your fiancee. How can you treat me like this?"
"Fiancee? You know very well how you became my fiancee. If you want to become a
Windsor, then show your sincerity."
Jolene took a deep breath and seemed to come to a decision. "So, after I show my
sincerity, will you accept me then?"
"We'll see." Accept her? James would never accept her in his entire life.
With that, James turned and went back into his room, reminding her once again before
leaving, "Coffee. Don't make me remind you again."
"Okay." Jolene nodded. She knew that James was deliberately making things difficult for
her. But since she chose to move here, she had to make him accept her. Otherwise,
everything she had done before would be in vain. She couldn't give up, and she couldn't
let James chase her away.
After silently encouraging herself in her heart, Jolene walked toward the kitchen to make
some coffee for James.
Half an hour later, Jolene pushed open the door to the master bedroom." James, here's

"Get out! Don't you know how to knock?" James looked coldly at her, closing the files in his
hand.
Jolene was frightened and quickly apologized. She closed the door and
knocked before coming in again. This time, James didn't say anything. He took the coffee
she handed him but didn't drink it.
Just as Jolene wondered why he wasn't drinking it, James sneered at her." I dare not eat
anything you make."
"James, I..."
The cup in James' hand fell to the floor with a loud thud. He looked at Jolene mockingly.
"Who knows? You might be trying something again."
"James, I'm not-"
"Clean up the mess, and then get out." James was not in the mood to listen to her
explanation. He waved his hand dismissively and turned back to his work.
Tears streamed down Jolene's face uncontrollably, but she bit her lip to prevent herself
from crying out loud.
