Chapter 658 No Feelings
"So, you think I purposely said I didn't like you to protect you?" Alec didn't understand
Jenny's train of thought. He couldn't comprehend how she could come up with such an
idea.
It was Jenny's turn to frown. She could sense the sarcasm in Alec's words, proving her
assumption was way off the mark. She took a deep breath and tried to keep her emotions
under control.
'It's not like you haven't done this before."
'That was in the past."
Alec's expression became solemn. He felt ashamed he'd done such a thing before. He
couldn't imagine putting in so much effort just to protect a woman. Then again, he had
unresolved mental issues and wasn't in a normal state of mind at that time.
'What's done is done. So be it," he thought. Now that he was cured, he wouldn't do such a
thing again.

answer.
Alec nodded without hesitation. "No, I don't."
'I don't understand. What made you change overnight?" Jenny asked in disbelief.
Was everything before just an act? But why would Alec bother to put on an act at that
time?
Alec knew that Jenny might continue to pester him if he didn't dispel her doubts. He
asked, "I had serious mental problems before. Did you know that?"
"Yes. I even recommended a psychologist to you." Jenny nodded, not understanding why
he brought that up suddenly.
"She recommended a psychologist to me?" Alec wondered silently; he had no impression
of that at all. He further pondered if she was the one who introduced Blake to him. But
even if that were the case, it didn't matter to him.
"The thing is—I'm completely fine now. All my previous actions were caused by mental
problems, which caused me to be obsessed with you. But now that I'm no longer in that
state, I won't follow you around anymore. Do you understand?" Alec felt he'd laid it all out
as clearly as possible.
Jenny was so surprised that she forgot to close her mouth, which had gaped open in
shock. It was really too shocking. She'd thought of many reasons, but it never occurred to
her that it would be that particular reason.
"Are you sure...that mental problems can have such a big impact?" She still found it hard
to believe.
Alec knew what she was thinking and was quick to respond. "If not for this, how do you
explain why I don't have any feelings for you now?"
"No feelings at all, huh?" Jenny sighed inwardly.
She smiled bitterly, as she couldn't come up with an explanation either. Maybe Alec was
right. She had sensed that something was wrong with him before. However...
Did he really lose all his feelings for her once he became normal again? It seemed too

"How did you come to this conclusion?" Jenny wanted to ask more questions. After all, if
she didn't clarify this matter, she would probably feel troubled until she got to the bottom
of it.
Alec glanced at her and replied, "A psychotherapist suggested it."
"Is that so?" Jenny thought to herself and didn't know what else to say. Perhaps that was
the truth. She sighed and seemed resigned. "Okay. Since that's the case, I won't bother
you in the future."
'That won't do." It was Alec who spoke up this time.
Feeling surprised, Jenny turned to look at Alec. He continued, "Didn't you say you would
represent the Walters to collaborate with me? Was that just a lie?"
He suddenly emanated a dangerous aura. Jenny had never seen Alec like this before. She
had no doubt that he would flip the table if she nodded.
"Of course...not." Jenny forced a dry laugh.
"But then, you just returned to the Fausts. Can you represent them in this situation?" Jenny
was doubtful whether Alec had indeed secured the trust of the Fausts in such a short span
of time.
