looked at him like he had a tail. “I think nothing of it.” “I’m serious. We’re both single. And although my family

doesn’t compare to the Walters, I believe I’m quite worthy of you, ability-wise.” Alfred didn’t give up. He was

honestly a little intrigued by her now. It felt different than before.
