Chapter 1140 I'm Joining You For Dinner
"When are you and Alec planning to marry?” Stephanie directed the topic of the
conversation toward Jenny and Alec. "Oh, I mean, remarry.’
Jenny had nothing to say to that. "It's still early." Jenny still had yet to plan a marriage.
"I envy you so much. You are all marrying and getting together, and I'm still single,"
Stephanie exclaimed sadly.
Jenny didn't pity her. Instead, she rolled her eyes. ’There are so many people out there
willing to be in a relationship with you. But do you want to? It
"I do.” Stephanie just wanted a normal love story, unlike her incident with Paul.
"Then try it out with Leonard,’ Jenny suggested.
Stephanie pursed her lips and said softly, 'TH see. Who knows if he actually likes me? I
don't want to overdo things.’
"The choice is yours. As long as you won't regret it." Stephanie may be her good friend,

own.
They talked as they shopped, and soon they bought plenty of things. The afternoon went
by rather quickly.
The sky gradually turned dark. Stephanie guessed that Alec would probably arrive soon
and said, "I'm going to go home so I don't get in your way."
"Oh, don’t you think of pulling that trick on me." Jenny didn't think that Stephanie had to
worry about it. Alec wouldn't mind either.
Jenny pulled at Stephanie, who couldn't escape. "I just don't want to bother the two of
you.’
"Don't say things like that. I'll get angry." Jenny pretended to be upset. She wasn't the
type to ditch her friends for her boyfriend.
Stephanie didn't insist. "Alright. I'll join you for dinner. I promise I'll be good, n
Alec soon arrived. He didn't mind that Stephanie was there. He looked at Jenny and asked,
"What do you want to eat?"
"I'm fine with anything. You can decide." Jenny didn't feel like eating anything in particular.
Alec looked at Stephanie. "What about you?"
"I'm fine with anything, Mr. Faust. You two call the shots. I'm just tagging along," Stephanie
hurriedly replied. She was still a little intimidated by him.
Alec looked at her and said, 'Since you're Jenny's friend, you're my friend, too. You can just
call me Alec. You can drop the formalities."
Stephanie was shocked. Alec had never said anything like that to her before. It seemed
that he truly had changed.
"In that case, we shall have ratatouille.’ Alec made his decision. Jenny and Stephanie
didn't object.
They walked into the restaurant. Jenny and Alec had come there before, so they were

work. She didn't have the time to eat at places like this.
When they sat down, Jenny's phone rang. It was Jade. She picked up, guessing what the
call would be about. "Hey, Jade."
"Have you had dinner yet, Jenny?" Jade said. Over the phone, Jenny could hear her
laughter.
"I'm in the middle of it. What about you?" Jenny asked.
Jade was surprised to hear that. "I was just about to invite you out. Who are you eating
with?"
"Stephanie and Alec," Jenny said.
Jade said nothing as if discussing with someone else on the other end. Then, she said,
"Where are you? We haven't had anything to eat yet. Do you mind if we join you?"
Jenny didn't agree at once. She looked at Stephanie and Alec and said," Jade wants to
come over. Max is probably coming, too."
"Sure," Stephanie said. But then she felt a little guilty since she was only a guest.
Alec nodded. ’You can decide.’
Jenny smiled. She gave Jade the restaurant's address and waited forthem to come.
