Pleased with what he had accomplished, Austin stretched his body and went back to the monk's palace in the mountain.
"That was fantastic, Austin! The bone from the three-legged golden crow integrated well with your body. The assimilation is almost
perfect.
As long as you continue to nourish the energy with your own blood essence, you can achieve the maximum level. | am sure of it!
As your energy grows, you can gradually bring out its true power."
The monk could sense the energy in Austin's body and decided it was best to let Austin know of the power that he possessed.
"Thank you for your advice, sir. Thank you for helpingso much. | really can't thank you enough for all this," replied Austin.
Austin trusted the monk's words completely.
Since Austin was Brady's master now, the monk told Austin everything he knew about Brady and how he could help him.
"As a guardian spirit, Brady cannot further his practice nor achieve any breakthroughs to improve his abilities. Is that true? | don't
even know that before!" exclaimed Austin.
Austin felt stunned at the fact, so he asked the monk to double check. It was hard for him to believe the information that the monk
had told him.
Brady had never told Austin anything about this matter.
It was the first tthat Austin heard about such a thing. He was thankful the monk shared the information to him.
"That's right.
That is the biggest disadvantage of being the guardian spirit of magic treasures.
It is impossible for the guardian spirits of magic treasures to continue their cultivation on their own. A guardian spirit can only grow
stronger when the magic treasure that they are attached to becomes more powerful.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFor ordinary magic treasures, it is impossible for them to becstronger on their own. The only way for them to advance their
power is to go through refining by a weapon refiner. However, that is a very long and troublesprocess.
Unfortunately, as the guardian spirits of magic treasures, it is difficult and even impossible for them to improve their strength on
their own."
The monk sensed Austin's concern, and he tried to explain every detail for him to understand.
He also explained every detail with patience because he knew that Austin was clueless about these things. He wanted Austin to
learn every bit of information and broaden his horizon.
"| got it."
Austin nodded his head as he listened, and gradually he understood how it worked.
"But | know of a secret method which could help the guardian spirits get rid of the restriction from the magic treasure. This method
could help them becstronger through their own cultivation," continued the monk.
He looked at Austin with confidence as he spoke the words.
"That's good news! Are you serious, sir?"
Can you please help Brady so he can continue his cultivation?"
Austin becexcited upon hearing the monk's words. Now, there was hope for Brady, and Austin was willing to take the chance.
"I can help him, of course.
But there is one thing you have to know.
If a guardian spirit continues the cultivation and becomes stronger and stronger, then it is possible that one day, the guardian spirit
will flourish and becpowerful enough to get rid of the constraint of the magic treasure forever. Eventually, the guardian spirit
becomes independent and could exist apart from the magic treasure.
If that happens, you cannot control the guardian spirit anymore.
If the guardian spirit refuses to serve you, then there is nothing more that you could do to keep it under your control. It would be
very difficult for you to enforce your will on such a guardian spirit if that happens."
The monk looked at Austin. He waited for Austin to make up his mind.
"Don't worry, sir. | have never treated Brady as my servant.
| had always treated him as my senior.
It would be great if Brady can continue his cultivation and improve his strength. | would be so happy for him in that case.
Please do help him, sir."
Hearing the monk's warning, Austin pleaded without hesitation. He asked the monk to help Brady with genuine sincerity.
"Really?"
The monk could not hide the surprised look on his face as he asked Austin. He could not believe what he was hearing. How could
someone so powerful be so selfless and be concerned about the growth of a guardian spirit?
Brady heard Austin's words and knew that he was sincere with his request. Austin had always treated him with kindness and
respect. The young lad was never bossy and arrogant towards him.
"You must think about it very carefully, Austin.
Once | help him continue his cultivation, you might lose a powerful servant. It is not every day that you get to encounter and own
such a powerful servant like Brady."
The monk warned Austin once again.
"Please, don't worry about me. | know what I'm doing. Help Brady as soon as possible, please. | am aware of the risks, and | will
face it."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAustin pleaded with the monk with a serious expression on his face.
"All right. Since you have decided, | will help him.
You have to do everything | tell you.
Givethe magic treasure that he is attached to," urged the monk.
He felt Austin's sincerity and finally agreed to his request.
Austin immediately took out the Slave Tower and handed it to the monk.
With a swing of his sleeve, the monk took away the Slave Tower and disappeared without a word. He then entered the secret
cultivation chamber once again. This the was with Brady.
Austin was left alone in the hall of the palace. He sat down with his legs crossed and began to meditate and took account of all the
secret skills he had mastered. The integration of the energy from the three-legged golden crow had brought him new perspectives
on the martial arts skill. He knew he must focus and reacquaint himself with every skill and power.
